"I’ve been following this farm for years on social media, dreaming of one day visiting. Emily (owner) and Kasey (tour guide) were amazing to work with and made my dream of visiting this farm a reality! I could not have imagined a more perfect tour and experience with the highland coos. Run, don’t walk… and support this farm and all they are doing - especially educating the public about these beautiful creatures!"
"Overall it was good experience but we were thinking Emil - the owner of the farm will be taking us for tour..but she was not present..there was another girl who was our tour guide..she just dropped us at cow pasture and whole time she was sitting in the cart with a guy..We thought she will show us around, tell names of cows , share info of them and about the farm etc..but it did not happen..we only asked her few questions which she answered..she only get down from cart for 5 mins , brushed 1-2 cows and again sat in cart..as she was not with us showing cows, my husband was kinda scared all the time to go near cows as he said cows can be unpredictable..he brushed few cows but he was not comfortable whole time..I went and brushed some of the cows..and took pictures and videos of two cows and calves..at start there were many cows but shortly most of them went uphill..I could pet a calf at starting but when my husband wanted to pet him, he was shy and started running or going far from him so he did not even get to pet him..If Emily would have been there, at least we specially my husband would have been more comfortable and brush or pet more cows and may be able to pet a calf as well and get more comfortable with them and enjoy more"
"We visited Happy Hens & Highlands Farm in December 2021, and were very impressed with everything about the farm, the Highland cows, and the hosts - Adam & Emily. We ended up buying two cows which were delivered to TN the next day. Those two girls have become our favorites! We have visited other farms (and purchased cows elsewhere), but we keep coming back because nothing compares to the experience at Happy Hens & Highlands! They are always willing to help and provide guidance to us (as well as other Highland owners). Their presence at the Jonesborough St Paddy’s Day event was a huge success! People (including our granddaughter who has constant access to Highlands) were lined up down the block to see and love on their sweet calves. What a testament to the loving attention they pour into their cows! We highly recommend Happy Hens & Highlands for purchase of cows, or for a fun activity with friends and family!"
"A couple years ago, I purchased my first highlands from "Happy Hens & Highlands". I purchased sight unseen and used their recommended hauler. What could have been a recipe for disaster, wasn't. The transaction was simple and smooth. My cattle arrived safely and on time. The paperwork was handled for me, and the cattle were as described. They are still part of my herd today. Over the years, we've continued to enjoy the advice and support of our friends af "Happy Hens & Highlands". We look forward to our next cattle purchase."
"I am a proud owner of 2 ACHA registered Highlands from Happy Hens and Highlands Farm. The owners are so knowledgeable about the breed and are passionate about finding the right fit for your goals with your cattle. Emily was so patient with me while we decided on what would work best with our program. We were also not just a "transaction" as they were very willing to assist me with questions as my new Highlands were settling in their new home. If you value the breed of Highlands and are looking for quality and want to deal with great people; I highly suggest Happy Hens and Highlands Farm. Tammy Scott High Ridge Homestead"
