"A perfect place for 360 degree view. Whether you love sunrise or sunset or a starry night sky. Max patch has it all. Hiked at midnight to watch some stars and capture the sunrise. Very easy hike, good trail conditions, and perfect weather made my and dogs Christmas. Parking available for about 10 cars. The last 45 minuses of drive is on dirt road, but it is well maintained. Might go camping here soon to photograph sunset and stars."

They've put significant effort into restoring the area, which had been damaged by overuse and illegal camping, and it shows. There are absolutely fantastic views from the top, in nearly every direction!"

"Came to visit after a trip from Asheville. Definitely worth doing the loop and taking your time. Even on a cold and slightly rainy day we enjoyed the walk and enjoyed the beautiful views. Give yourself plenty of time and be ready for the roads entering/leaving, wouldn't bring any lowered vehicles or you may regret it."
