"We rented the carolina cottage through VRBO . This cottage was amazing it surpassed all of our expectations. It was spotless, well furnished and comfortable. The porch faces the beautiful lake and you can watch the sunset each evening as it sets over the foothills . There are other cottages nearby, but the beautiful trees screen you in and you still have that feeling of privacy . The surrounding area was rural enough to feel country but there are nearby conveniences like a supermarket. The town is TINY but beautiful we went in October so be prepared for shortened business hours . If you want to get away this is a great place to go. The leasing agent is very responsive and very nice. We had a great stay and this is one of the best experiences we have had and we travel a lot."
