"Our family of 11 just stayed at the Bear Falls cabin II and were extremely disappointed withe the non upkeep of this cabin. Sofas on upstairs were broken and could not open them up, king sized bed mattress was awful(sunken in the middle), no lighting on walkway, and bathrooms were all stained up due to rusty water. Water smelled terrible, did not feel clean and smelled terrible after shower. had to buy water to cook with. Wasnt easily handicap accessible for my 86 year old mother who went with us either. Very disappointed. Would not recommend this cabin at all!!"

"We have been using them very consistently for years! We have enjoyed their cabins in every season of the year. Fall is our absolute favorite, but it’s extremely quiet and relaxing in the winter as well!"

"Haven't been to our cabin rental yet; however, speaking to Alice to set up my rental was amazing. She was so cheerful and knowledgeable. I was having trouble setting up my reservation at the website, so I called (around the dinner hour) and expected to have to leave a voice-mail, but Alice answered and was so helpful. This is my 1st time staying in Bryson City, so she answered allll of my many questions. There are so many cabins to choose from, varying in size and price. You should have no problem finding a cabin that will fit your needs."

"We stayed at Hidden Mountain Retreat. Absolutely worst experience we’ve had!! Absolutely filthy, not maintained 23 year old house. All reviews for this place were true and nothing has been fixed. States no pets but there was fur all over even all over the bottom of the vacuum! Bring your own pots,pans,silverware,toaster what they have shouldn’t be available to guests. Bee hive still there and it brought a lot of unwanted guests! Dead bugs all over the house. The road to the house is over grown and scratched the sides of my truck pretty bad. It is not on 300 acres it’s on 8 acres and people show up unannounced! The hot tub is sealed with a tie down strap and watch your step on the deck several nails are sticking up!! DO NOT sit on the chairs outside and bring your own! The furniture needs to be thrown away the couch is absolutely terrible no springs left just the wooden frame. Save yourself some money and look past this property it’s not worth the money and not a safe place for kids! Not to mention the filthy windows!!! Worst stay the quality of this company has went down hill the last 8 years. Update.. Reply to the comment left. I don’t complain or leave bad reviews just because. We work to hard for the little bit of money we make these days. We’ve been using y’all since 2015. We’ve never had any hot tub strapped down. But yet the pictures you use to promote the property surprisingly dont have the strap attached to the deck. “Upon arrival the outside was nice but inside everything was old and didn’t look clean. There was wasp flying in the windows and glass doors. There were dead bugs everywhere and on the furniture. I had to wash the sheets and towels. Kill the bugs and clean it. The next morning a wasp attacked me in the bathroom and we noticed there were a lot more wasp in the house flying around down stairs.” A review from March 2023 you knew about the wasps and the shape of the home. “ If you're looking to really get away from it all, this place is it! Hidden Mountain Retreat is just that, a mountain top home on a private 300 acres. This home offers complete privacy, peace, and solitude.” your words not mine!! It needs to say 8.5 acres it’s misleading. And the last thing I know what you say about we’ll make it right but you have to contact us asap. Why do I need to contact you when it should have been done the right way the first time! Why do I have to take time out of my vacation that I paid for to tell you stuff you’ve already been told and did nothing about? It’s not your customers responsibility to do your job. And I say this with respect not being a Karen! Anyways!! Moving on.. I received a phone call from an amazing woman named Stevie. She listened to our concerns some of which she didn’t know about. (I didn’t post everything that was wrong it’s a 23 year old house it’s not going to be perfect) I appreciated her time and understanding of the situation. She’s why I would give bc cabin rentals another try in the future. Thank you Stevie!! I also found out the couple that showed up unannounced have been showing up at cabins so this wasn’t the first time it’s occurred."

"We stayed July 31-Aug 4th. Worst cabin I've ever stayed in. They said it was motorcycle friendly, well it was NOT. We laid our bike down in their gravel, up hill driveway. The cabin was dirty. The rug on the deck needs to be thrown in the garbage. Cob webs every where. They don't give you a kitchen towel, or garbage bags, or toilet paper."
