Alpaca Acres of Olin

Alpaca Acres of Olin is a charming mini petting zoo located at 204 Williamsburg Road in Olin, North Carolina. This unique institution offers children the opportunity to interact up close with a variety of animals including Mini Donkeys, Alpacas, Chinchillas, Holland Lop-Eared Rabbits, Chinese Painted Quail, Homing Pigeons, and chickens. Visitors can enjoy short presentations about the habits, care, and history of each animal before feeding and petting them.

The encounters take place inside the barn, with each animal in separate stalls or cages. Homing pigeons fly freely around the barn, while chickens may be seen roaming the area. Button Quail are in cages and cannot be held, but they are still adorable to observe.

To ensure a personalized experience, it is recommended to schedule appointments at least one day in advance. Parking is available in the front driveway, with a short walk through the backyard to reach the barn. The barn is wheelchair-friendly, with a slight lift of about 1 inch.

Encounters are available by appointment only from 12-5 on Thursdays-Saturdays and 1-5 on Sundays.
