"We recently purchased an expensive sectional for our new home. We were up-sold to a sectional that the sales person said was one of the best manufacturers they carry. We were able to view the sectional at their showroom and was told it would take about 8-10 weeks to receive one in the color we selected. We were told the time was due to the craftsmanship that was applied to each product. When we received the couch we were pleased other than a rippling across a significant section of the back of the couch and pillows which the delivery gentleman said would disappear within a week. This was an issue for us as the couch sits in the center of our family room so the back of the couch is exposed. When we called Carolina, sent them pictures, talked with our sales people and they in turn spoke with management. They called back and were told that the ripples should go away in a few weeks and this was normal with a new couch but if they didn't, to call back. After a few months we called Carolina again as the rippling had not gone away, but expanded. After numerous calls and text messages that we proactively made (few if any messages were returned) we were told Carolina would pick up the couch and have the manufacturer repair it, that it could not be done in our home. However, it would take about 4 weeks. This was unacceptable not only because our couch is the only piece of furniture to sit on but it lacked a compassion in dealing with a customer who spent their hard earned money at their store. We were told they could not provide us with another couch during the time our couch would be repaired. I was not satisfied with Carolina's solution and Will, who is the son of the owner, said his mother would call me the following week. I did not hear back until I called again 8 days later. I was told that a call to me was not made due to family issues, which I understood, and a simple phone call from our sales people to explain would have helped. Again, the only solution was to be without a couch for a month. This time, I was told by the owner that the rippling in the back of the couch was expected and standard on a couch. The inconsistent stories and the fact that I have had a number of high quality couches in the past (including Hickory) without any issues, left me with a very sour taste in my mouth. I would strongly suggest staying away from this business if customer service and honest salespersons are important issues to you and a commitment to stand behind your products."

"The furnishings are great, and the sales associates as well. But the owner is very difficult to deal with. The topic has come up with various people over time, if they had any experience with her they felt the same. I know of two designers who refuse to do business there for this reason. You might say “it’s the word on the streets.” I’ve brought the subject up with two different employee’s,, they totally agree. My main complaint with her is letting merchandise go out on approval. She makes it so difficult I dread to ask and don’t go there if at all possible. This is from someone who has purchased several items from her store. The only reason I’ve continued to shop there is because it is the nicest furniture store in town. Unfortunately the Greenville area currently doesn’t have a lot to choose from. But Greenville is rapidly growing and hopefully that will change just as rapidly. I wish for the sake of we customers I could give more than one star, but unfortunately that has been my experience."
