"Our stay at Azalea Retreat - The Cottage and The Lodge was nothing less than phenomenal! The Cottage property is well appointed with every amenity needed, was sparkling clean, the decor was modern and welcoming, and the outside property was indescribable! The lake view and sunrises took our breath away each morning and the plentiful outdoor tables and chair were so comfortable. With pickleball, Giant Connect 4, kayaks, and a gorgeous pool, there was nothing more to want! I feel like I never left the enclosed upstairs patio at The Cottage because it was the place to sit and "take it all in." Did I mention views? The kitchen was huge and having two refrigerators was very helpful. The pictures online don't do this property justice - the living area (dining, kitchen, family room) is HUGE with more seating than we could have dreamed. The bedrooms were adorable with comfortable mattresses and updated bathrooms. The privacy of each ensuite was appreciated as we were a large family traveling together. The Lodge is a gorgeous log home on the lake with plenty of space for your large group. The kitchen was massive with an oversized fridge, loads of amenities and tons of seating. The living area was super comfortable with the large couches and made watching Sunday football fun. The upper deck was just a breathtaking space to spend the evening and although we didn't use it, the grill was a nice touch. The bedrooms were comfortable and well suited for large groups of family or friends. Everyone loved the lower level game area!! Check in was easy and the instructions from Lakecations were straightforward. The property managers were very responsive and helpful. The property is easy to get to and only 6 miles from a Publix, ABC store and a couple of good restaurants. Check in was a breeze and the instructions from the management company about the property were crystal clear. We received email and text messages after our arrival to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. Brandy responded to every text we sent and was so professional. Morgan made making our reservation seamless and stress free. I cannot say enough good things about Lakecations management and The Azalea Retreat. I highly recommend this property to others!"

"I loved my stay in Charlotte at Lake Norman at the Family retreat. I hosted a reunion with all of my friends from all over the country. It was so easy to fly in to Charlotte, easy to get to the house, and the house was perfect. We were so surprised by how many amenities the house had to offer (arcade, paddleboard/kayak, air hockey, hot tub). It was very easy to rent a boat, there is a rental place just around the corner. Sometimes Airbnb/VRBO rentals oversell the number of people they can comfortably sleep. We had the full 28 people the house advertised to sleep, and it exceeded our expectations. The rental agency was very responsive, easy to call. They used a text message thread to give updates. I was able to message with any questions or needs and the representative on the other end was quick to respond and professional."
