Reviews of RITTER Sports Performance
"Surge Strength by Chris Ritter has been an excellent resource for our program over the past couple years. We have been working on improving the dry land portion of our program, and reading Chris’ book really helped solidify our programing and help us establish a more organized, purpose driven strength training program. The key is designing a program that is designed for direct benefit in the water and not strength for the sake of strength in the weight room. I would highly suggest reading Surge Strength to help continue moving your strength program forward."
"As a collegiate head coach, I place a high value on what Coach Ritter brings to our program. Not only is his training the most demanding our swimmers have faced, but it’s also the most engaging. The workouts are varied, the training is fun (hard), and the results have been astounding! The overall quality of RITTERSP has led to huge buy-in from our athletes and strong motivation to continue their strength training outside of our collegiate season, as well. The competitive results and our athletes’ increased levels of confidence speak for themselves."
"I trained with Chris for a little more than a year as I was trying to come back from a broken leg injury. I was in poor condition and needed to build strength and endurance. Chris did and assessment and designed a workout plan that focused on developing proper technique first and then slowly and safely building strength. I was very happy with the results. Chris works with a lot of elite athletes and I was concerned that he wouldn't know how to help an out of shape guy approaching 50 - but I was able to see weekly progress and he kept it fun and encouraging. I would recommend working with Chris no matter where your starting from. Eventually even the Turkish Getups were doable !"
"Chris is awesome! I'm a total geek, I never played sports in high school or college. Chris took me from pretty much ground zero, barely able to do five push ups, and has turned me into a workout nut. His system works great, he sends me a new workout each week through an app on the iPhone and customizes it based on what I'm having trouble with or want to get better. He's really responsive to any questions. If you're looking to get fit, this is the way to go!"
"I'm a 56 year old masters swimmer and former D1 collegiate swimmer. I've been working with Chris online for the past year after coming off some serious surgery (thoracic outlet syndrome). Chris had me take videos of various functional movements, measure things like my broad jump, and analyzed my strengths and weaknesses. He came up with a weekly program of exercises that we discussed via email every week. He worked around minor injuries I had, travel, and was extremely responsive and encouraging. He was always available for questions and advice, and quickly understood my sports psychology. The results speak for themselves ---- I won four events at the U.S. Masters Nationals and came within two-tenths of a second of my best time from when I was 18. What a terrific coach! He must be even more terrific to work with in person. I can't recommend him highly enough."
