"Both my 7 year old son and I train at Epoch JJ and it is awesome! The kids classes are a great miix of training and fun so the kids learn then get "rewarded" with some games at the end. Coaches Maddie and Tyler (aka Tarzan) have a perfect balance of discipline and humor to keep the kids working hard but not intimidating them. My son is progressing well and really enjoys it there. The adult classes are fantastic. The instructors all have VERY different personalities and approaches, so you get a really nice variety of training styles which is good when learning jiu jitsu. And all of the coaches and staff are just super cool people. And, as far as I can tell, they have the best schedule in the area with classes in the morning, midday, and evenings. They cater to everyone, so whether you're looking for self defense skills, a good workout, or want to compete in jiu jitsu tournaments, they'll take care of you.
