"This is an absolute awesome gym to train at. I moved up here from FL and was recommended to train here from my former gym. Zr did not disappoint. My jiu jitsu has grown tremendously. It is a clean gym with high level instruction for self defense, a great workout, and competition training. ZR is team oriented but also takes the time to learn each individuals game. "I weighed 270 lbs. when I moved into Stedman last September and struggled to get back into shape since the pandemic started. I work from home and tried jogging, the gym, and online dance classes, but the weight stayed on. In February, I found the ZR team for a trial class. Having a great time learning and training. For Parents - if your child attends the nearby middle and high schools, they might know the students attending the late afternoon class. The instructors are SUPER kid-friendly and have pride in working with the next generation of athletes. They encourage you to stay and watch your kids have those A-HA! moments in class. For All Adults - this is not a MMA fighter gym, and that’s a good thing! We learn techniques, drills, and practice at the end of every class. My instructors are happy to guide me in developing my style based on my body, flexibility, and natural ability. Bring lots of water because you will SWEAT in every class. Leave your ego at the door.
