"Thunderbay Riding Academy is the place to have your child learn about and train with horses. The staff are like family, the horses temperaments are pleasant, the coaches are knowledgeable and understanding and above all take the time to individually coach each child even within the group lesson environment. Praise is given and positive reinforcement of areas that need improvement whether it be equitation or jumping skills. They teach the kids not only how to sit properly on a horse but how control a horse, how to take care of them and check on the kids basic knowledge. I do love how much the horses mean to the coaches! We have liked all of the well-skilled instructors. The clinics offered are so wonderful for all ages. Summer day camp is a must! The arena is covered which in bad weather is an added benefit.
