About the Business
Double Edge Self Defense is a self protection facility located at 14 Old Chunns Cove Road in Asheville, North Carolina. Our focus is on providing practical training using targeted martial art principles to prepare individuals for potential threats. We understand the importance of being prepared for armed attackers, stronger opponents, and multiple assailants.
Our approach includes teaching the mindset of the predator and the nature of violence, giving our students a better understanding of the threats they may face. Instead of traditional defensive techniques, we emphasize "personal offense" - the ability to quickly disable an attacker in a moment of chaos to ensure survival.
We offer a 3-hour focus seminar and mat training for groups looking to improve their self defense skills. Additionally, we recommend the book "Fight Like a Physicist" by Jason Thalken and offer a podcast called "The Line" focusing on military culture and the Navy Seals, including the Ed Gallagher story.
