"This complex is scamming people out of their money. There are so many shoot outs here management doesn't tell you that they have so much crime in this complex. Living here they keep the build nasty and dirty they need to power wash the building. Nice days all you smell is urine and dog poo they having all these deals to wind you to moved here. It was just another shootout Thursday morning they claimed they don't know anything. You guys supposed to have people feeling safe not scared for their life!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE !!!!!! Don't go for the deals they are offering all is a SCAM!!!"
"Glad my lease is finally running out in March. I’ve lived here for over four years, and it was overpriced but OK until a few months ago. I’m thinking this is related to the management. Here are just a few issues: 1. The exterior hallways are filthy from the failed valet service and lack of attention. There is considerable mold along the sides of the building. They issued cheap trash cans at some point, but they aren’t used or replaced. People just throw their garbage bags outside their door now. NASTY! And they charge you $25/month for this service along with $13/month charge for garbage and more for pest control. 2. Safety is becoming more of an issue. In December, there was a reported sexual assault and today there were police here because of gunshots and a portion of the complex was closed for several hours. During the time I’ve been here, my car has been broken into twice and my apartment once (I learned to keep nothing of value in the apartment). My address also was used for some sort of immigration scam, something, management had no interest in when I reported it. 3. The gate has been broken off and on for two years. When the gate is closed, the communications don’t work and you can’t buzz in guests. 4. There are more and more abandoned looking cars in the parking lot. 5. The previous management made an effort to assist with packages. The new management takes no responsibility (other than trying to add a charge to use their Amazon lockers). Packages are just stacked and thrown all over the place in the “gym.” 6. They never have fixed the gutters or runoff in the front of my building and the runoff on the back still doesn’t work properly. 7. Don’t even try to get here during the summers when there is a concert at PNC. It can sometimes take hours to get to the complex. 8. There was a change sometime during the pandemic where more children began living here Some walk around the complex unsupervised, trashing the common areas and throwing rocks or other debris. There aren’t playgrounds or even play areas at this complex. It wasn’t really designed for kids. Please do a full walk through and consider other options before moving to the Willows at University. It’s not cheap."
"Honestly just tired of coming home and not having a parking space available because one person has 5 guest over. There is no specified visitor parking or towing enforced so people just park wherever they feel and inconvenience the ones that live here and actually pay bills. On top of that the guest stay for days on end so imagine no parking close to your home that YOU PAY FOR, for DAYS at a time. It’s annoying at this point. The people in the office are just as bad. They’ll send an email at 3:55PM saying they’re closing at 4PM… even though they close at 6???? I have went to the office numerous times to talk to someone and I see a note on the door that they closed early but not one email was sent out. I have had packages stolen a well as other residents… they have cameras in the locker room but then tell you “we don’t review cameras that’s corporate level”… well what the hell do you really have the cameras for?! Living in a gated community and paying the price for that, yet the gate never works?? What am I paying for at this point because it’s not security. Management changes more than you change your underwear i swear. Honestly the leasing office staff as a whole is constantly changing so then you have to re-explain things or files get lost etc. It’s just a mess and I have zero intentions of renewing the lease here. It’s a headache, look elsewhere. UPDATE 11/21/23 1:50 PM : I can’t respond so this will do. I’m a current resident, but there’s no need to have my name… avoiding retaliation. I also don’t feel a need to come speak about the issues. I have tried for months now and nothing has changed. I’m tired of wasting my breath. Thank you and have an awesome day. ❤️"
"I applied for an apartment with their 1-month special for September I was approved. I was informed that they only accept cashier's checks and do not accept money orders. However, on Monday, they informed me that the special was no longer available and changed my lease from $1365 to $1404. Interestingly, a friend of mine who is also looking to move was offered a rate of $1329 with a $1000 moving special for some reason. I called their office and spoke to the manager to inquire why my price differed from what was advertised on their website and what they offered to my friend. She explained that the change was due to my moving date adjustment. I agreed to move by Monday if they could offer me the same price, and she agreed she gave me a a price quote. However, immediately after our call, they updated the prices on their website, and they stopped answering my calls. This happened after they had already taken my application fee of $110 and an administration fee of $250 to secure the apartment. Shockingly, they later informed me that the apartment I had secured was no longer available and have not provided any alternatives. This behavior is highly unprofessional and dishonest. If you are unwilling to honor your part of the bargain, you should promptly and respectfully refund my money. These actions make you appear as scammers and demonstrate a lack of respect to your residents."
"If you dont believe anything I am saying, check the attached images. Im here to save you. im just happy that my lease has finally ended. Yall, please find somewhere else to stay, if possible. You will be living in a trash dump. Im not understanding so many things. They really just want your money. Forreal Forreal. What is the point of paying pest control fees if there are spiderwebs and roaches and so many bugs in the hallways. MOLD - everywhere. I was sick all the time living at Willows. There is are also kids everywhere that are cursing loudly and running through the parking lots. No child supervision. Someone is always blasting loud music. The gate is always broken. The pool is dirty and has never been cleaned. They lied during my tour and told me they were turning the “movie theater - that is always locked” into extra gym space. I mean… the list goes on. The stairs and breezeways smell like pee and dog poop from peoples animals. Stained urine. Nobody cleans up after their animals. There are literally poop graveyards everywhere. They try to bribe residents to snitch on one another instead of them going to the source themselves. LAZY. Nobody wants your gift cards. The breezeways are always dirty and they never power wash anything. It is soooo filthy. I’d also like to mention, if you are not a fan of traffic, this is not the place to stay. The complex is very close to PNC Arena and there are concerts every other night. Imagine coming home from a long day of work to sit in traffic. Most of the renters here are college students that don’t care about anything and are just happy to be out of their parents house. Nobody in the leasing office is being held accountable and they are always losing very important paperwork. My carpet was never changed and you could tell previous owners had a dog because the carpet had pee stains. It also wasnt cleaned prior to move in. When you bring a problem to them, they say they will get back to you and never do. Be sure to get copies of everything. I bet you they will respond nonchalantly to this review and wont make any changes at all. Watch. “Please feel free to come to our office. Did you contact maintenance? We appreciate the feedback. We strive for 5 stars. We fell short. We apologize.” A bunch of apologies and nothing being fixed. I really don’t know how they have 3.9 stars. They need 0 stars. Shut this place down. If the CDC came to this complex, this place would not exist. Oh, they will also be quick to email you about a trash violation. Valet trash here sucks! But of course its a monthly fee. They come when they feel like it and then, the complex complains about overfilled trashcans?! Make it make sense America. Let's not forget about the car break ins. Again, check the pictures for proof. I was embarrassed my entire stay to invite anyone over. If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to update this review."
