Northeastern Technical College - Bennettsville Campus

"Normally I wouldn’t even take the time to leave a bad review but this is most unorganized, unprofessional school I’ve ever dealt with. I first enrolled in NETC through the dual enrollment program in 2021. I never had help signing up for classes and didn’t know which program to pick. Luckily I had enough sense to pick the classes I know most colleges require you to take anyways (such as English and Algebra) and when I signed up I was told all my classes would be self paced and online. That did not turn out to be the case. Some of the classes I enrolled in were actually face to face classes and I was just lucky that my teachers were okay with me doing the work online when I could. As difficult as that all was, it wasn’t nearly as difficult as filling out the FAFSA. The only person I will say that helped with that is Sheryl Marshall, who I greatly appreciated. My troubles with NETC did not stop after I passed those classes. I started classes again this year (2023) through my job at Arris Manufacturing. When this program first started, we weren’t given much information at all. They told us we wouldn’t have to pay for it, that we’d get certificates and possibly a 2 year degree in the end, and they told us the classes would be AT Arris. We were never given an outline or a time frame of when these classes are supposed to start and end. Every time a class starts we find out about 2 days before hand, so we really don’t know what we’re getting into. Now, we just started what was SUPPOSED TO BE the last 2 classes of this set..and found out it didn’t get approved to be off campus so we have to drive to Bennettsville after work now. AND our CAD class is now online, which was never the deal and never what any of us signed up for. Not to mention the fact that we just had a meeting with the school board and they said there was 3 more classes, not 2. And even they couldn’t tell me what the 3rd one was. I really wanted to see this through but with everything I’ve gone through and continue to go through with this school I just don’t think it’s even worth it anymore."
