"Dr. Cruz & RN Stephen’s are amazing! They took their time with us and helped us continue to understand our T1D journey. The staff in all since our 2 recent visits have been super friendly and supportive. We hate that we have to switch due to insurance carriers but do know that if we have to continue to come here due to care issues with Novant. I will pay out of pocket for this kind of service. I know a lot of folks can’t do that but they have given us confidence that we can do this with T1D!"

"Dr. Houchin is absolutely amazing. So are the Nurse Educators. Emily is our favorite. My daughter was a patient at Nemours Children's Endocrinology for years and we despised going there. Within 3 visits, Dr. Houchin and her staff were able to adjust her insulin to improve her A1C significantly AND get her approved for an insulin pump. We battled with Nemours for 4 years over her having a pump!! The care that we receive is first class and my daughter no longer dreads going to the Endocrinologist."

"We love Dr. Vanderwell as we have seen him for 17 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and his ability to adequately and aggressively treat my son with an endocrine disorder. However, multiple times we have been, there has either been no phlebotomist or we’ve had a negative experience if there was one. Having this happen with a pediatric patient is difficult. I understand times and circumstances with retaining healthcare employees is different and more challenging than it’s ever been, but this is a reoccurring issue. We know every 6 months we will be having labs drawn and unfortunately I know of multiple times we have had to go to a different facility because of no phlebotomist. I have reached out to the practice manager previously and unfortunately it continues to be an issue."
