"Pediatrix accepted double payment for a medical service for my daughter due to a “mix up.” It’s been over a month and I have not heard anything back about the refund. I called today and they said that it would take another 4 to 6 weeks to process the refund. I’m not sure why this would be so complicated. I wonder what the process is that they’re referring to."

"Sent me a bill after labor and delivery with doctors names that I never saw. I had to get a detailed bill from Novant to "prove" that I did not see those doctors. I did this and my medical records, low and behold, did not have their names on it. This "medical group" seems to big one giant scam. I am reporting them for fraud."
"Where to even begin retelling my terrible experience with Pediatrix medical group. Let me first say to the new parents like my husband and I, please do your homework and dig into any claim before you willingly pay an unforeseen medical bill. We had our son in December of 2021 and didn’t receive our first bill statement of $1,600 from Pediatrix until July. It came as a complete surprise. Having worked with insurance billing previously, I knew that there was a timely filing window that providers working with insurance companies have to abide by. For our insurance carrier, the window of timely filing is 120 days. I called and spoke to several representatives at Pediatrixs along my journey. One rep in particular assured me the claims were filled with Cigna but when pressed, she couldn’t provide me with a single claim number for any of the dates of service we were being billed for. I went round and round with this billing company, even to the point of having my insurance and Pediatrixs on the phone simultaneously. By September it was agreed upon by their manager Eric Colon that the claims would be resubmitted but would be likely denied due to being filed outside of the timely filing window. My account would be on hold until the claim would be processed and then my account would possibly be adjusted. After the 30-45 day window I would receive a call from Pediatix with the verdict and next steps. I called for an update after the allotted time as I never received a call and nothing new was reported on our account. I then called my insurance again and it was confirmed the claim have STILL not been submitted to my insurance. There exists no record of these claims on either my son or I’s accounts and it’s nearly a year later. This company is completely unprofessional and there are clearly severe problems within their billing department. I will continue to spread the word of awareness about this company, will go to social media, and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau."
