"The financial aid office never answers or returns calls, never replies to emails. It seems like they just don't want to do their job. Considering this is a school targeted for marginalized groups, you would think they would want to help in the financial aid side of things as that is typically a driving factor for students of color."

"If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This is a TERRIBLE SCHOOL. The financial aid office is a complete joke, and it is made pretty clear they don't care about you. They don't care if you can pay for school, or if your aid is DELAYED the week before school starts!! They WONT return your phone calls. If you want anything done, you have to go there yourself and demand to have things fixed. The administration as a whole is the most incompetent group of people I've ever seen in my life. Registrar, fin aid, all of it is terrible."

"This school has the potential to be an amazing university, but like most colleges (especially HBCU’s) they do not handle business properly. Never have I ever heard of students being required to pay for both semesters in order to move in, no response from any staff or department unless you go see them in person(especially admissions, housing, and financial aid), there is an ongoing issue with mailing…students don’t have an address and whoever works in the mail room does not want help with getting things cleared up. I’ve heard that plenty staff members are rude and treat students poorly. Covid outbreaks are not even being mentioned at the moment. There are great academic opportunities here, but it’s a very difficult experience and may leave you in debt or in a position where you have to leave the university."

"All guests must show ID before entering the campus. However, there's no log of who's coming in. I appreciate their approach but it could be a little more secure on the front end. Maybe a scanner or something to keep a log of visitors' tag numbers."
