"I had my first appointment at The Eye Institute today, and had a great experience! Dr. Sauls was very knowledgeable, professional, and was great at explaining any concerns that he saw on my scans. He was also very thorough when looking through all of my scans and test results and going over them with me. The techs and reception staff were also all super nice and welcoming. I really got a great feeling from this office, and felt comfortable and respected the whole time."
"Dr. Tim and his staff are very caring and professional. After a rather upsetting diagnosis about my eyes, treatment was explained to me, and I was a bit overwhelmed. Dr. Tim followed up with a phone call that gave me better understanding and a sense of control."
"Very nice facility which was renovated 2 years ago. Excellent receptionist , nurse, doctor and first consultant who made my daughter and I feel very welcome for our first visit. My only bad experience was the sale person who display a set of prescription glasses for us to choose from. After my daughter made her selection, I asked if what was displayed was just samples and that he was going to retrieve the real glasses in the back, he stared at me with a long paused and dumfounded facial expression as if I was asking a dumb question or he was deeply offended. Stores sometimes display items that the customers can look, but are not the ones the customer will take home, I explained. So, it was a curious question. His answer- with a bad attitude: "in the ophtamology world what is on display is always the real ones." Wow. The rest of the interaction was just uncomfortable. No smile. No tactfulness from the sale person etc. Not sure if he was having a bad day. But this sale person almost ruined our visit and desperatly needs some coaching. The receptionist unaware of the situation- at end did a fantastic job closing by pleasantly interacting with my daughter and offering her something. It only takes one bad employee to tarnish a reputation that others are working hard to uphold."
"I had a bad experience just yesterday 11/29/23. I scheduled an appointment for a new contact service. Took a half a day from work so that I could be there as I work and live in Johnston County. I waited in the lobby about 10 minutes after completing my forms it was then taken to the back by someone to complete my test prior to seeing a doctor. These tests were taken in three different rooms, and it seemed the person who was taking the test was being rushed and was a bit flustered. After about 15 minutes of test I finally wait in the room for the doctor to come in. He asked, how can we help you today? I let him know I was here for a new contact service today. He automatically says, I may have to reschedule because it’s so late in the day, and that contact appointments take longer than normal. I let him know that I took half the day off so that I could be there for my appointment. He said if he did a new contact appointment for me it would Inconvenience his whole team. I’ll let him know it’ll be an inconvenience to me Reschedule or come back another day. I asked him why they would schedule me for 340 knowing that’s what I came for. I explained they knew I was coming for a new contact appointment because they told me what my co-pay would be over the phone prior to me Coming. He said well that’s something I need to talk to my front desk staff about. He And said well, let’s just see how far we get. I’ll let him know that I wasn’t interested in getting halfway through service I want the full thing. It was very obvious that he was not interested in doing that. He said and said, let’s just get it over with and not waste more time talking about it. At that point, I let him know that it was OK and I would rather book an appointment somewhere else, I asked if I would be charged for this visit as I did not receive a prescription or anything and he said no and I left.Very unprofessional do not recommend. The Dr. was Adam Sauls"
"This was my initial visit. The staff are professional, friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Dr. Poitier was great at educating me on a condition called exophoria. A gentleman assisted me with picking out glasses that right for me. He took his time and ensured I was comfortable with my choice. I was absolutely impressed as I had been with Raleigh Eye Center for 20 plus years."
