Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center

"My company recently held a retreat here. There were about 10 of us that stayed in the rooms , the rest were locals. We rented a conference room and held a party in the event space. This place is amazing! Amazing staff! I don't think I could say enough about how perfect everything was."

"I was very pleased by my room and the location. Parking was easy, nice coffee shop with reasonable prices. I liked this place a lot. Would definitely stay again."

"If scents bother you or make you ill beware. The room absolutely reeked of cheap air freshener. It was like they emptied an entire can of febreeze in that room and it hung heavy in the air. The floors were sticky with residue. It literally smelled like a janitor's closet. I got an instant runny nose and felt sick. Husband did not want to change rooms. We opened the balcony door to air it out but I still woke up with a bloody nose. They also had scent machines running in the lobby. It does smell like sewer gas on the waterfront at times but perhaps they were trying to cover up more than that. I suspect it was mold. Parking costs an extra $20 per night which was annoying. We had two cars x 2 nights so extra $80 we didn't expect to spend. This is not a typical Aloft experience, usually they are fabulous. We will never stay at Aloft in Wilmington again."

"As others noted (and I wish I read) room setup is silly if you’re with kids - the bathroom has a shower that opens into the room with no door or wall or anything so you’re showering in the open. Minor items like an ironing board and iron you also have to call and ask for as they aren’t in the room. Silly room design, not sure why they built it this way. Positives are: nice staff, rooftop bar is nice, good location. I probably wouldn’t return with family but would if alone in town."

"First time at ALoft, room was comfortable, rooftop bar service was great, bartenders made great cocktails. Front desk staff was helpful. Was disappointed in the breakfast options. There is a small cafe that serves coffee and danishes."
