"I recently had a hysterectomy at this facility. My post op nurse was absolutely horrible. I was in a ton of pain which was treated with intense disrespect. I told the nurse I had to use the restroom she argued with me saying that no I did not I just felt that way because I just had a catheter in. I went on to pee in my bed, I was 10 minutes post op unable to barely move. Followed by the same nurse telling me I would not be able to go home if I didn’t get myself under control. I have had several surgeries and I have never been in a place that has nurses that are so incredibly rude and demeaning to their patients."

"My 19 year old daughter had a tonsillectomy at this facility by an ENT from Wilmington Health Associates. She was the last patient of the day for this surgeon, and we even caught him nodding off at his desk right before her surgery, so we should have ran out of there right then and there, but we didn't. She had the procedure; everything seemed okay until the 6th night in, when she started bleeding very, very heavy from the left side of her mouth. I had to rush her to the ER, where an "on call" ENT surgeon was called in to see her because they couldn't get the bleeding under control. The surgeon said that she needed emergency surgery right away. After her surgery the doctor said that her original tonsillectomy was "botched" and he ended up having to repair both sides where her tonsils were. Also he asked why we didn't have a post-op appointment around the 5th day, and we told him that we weren't given one, because the soonest they could see her was the end of August, when her surgery was on August 7th and she had to return to college on the 18th. The ER surgeon was so mad at the original doctor and his office, saying that was irresponsible of them not to do a 5 day post-op, we agreed, but what choice does a patient have. We will never go to that surgery center again or see that ENT surgeon from Wilmington Health Associates again. God bless Doctor Michael D. Peters MD. for helping out our daughter."
