"If I could give this place zero stars I would. It was the absolute worst experience with orthotics I have ever had and I've taken my kids to a few different places locally over the years. We had actually used them when they were Level 4 Orthotics and had no problems. In the past we needed shoe orthotics, but I was told this place was good with scoliosis braces. From the beginning to the end it was a disaster. It took over a month to finally get my sons brace and that was only after I had to call to push everything along. They basically completely forgot about him. From calling for insurance verification to ordering the actual brace. The Vice-President, Ben Walker, called me personally and promised to handle things after I complained to the local office. He promised to follow up with me later in the day and I never heard back from him. I called him today after leaving the brace fitting to let him know how horrible the appointment went and to thank him for NEVER following up with me. He lied and said he had emailed me twice, he had not. They are extremely unprofessional and lack knowledge. The guy my son saw today even questioned Duke's specialist plan and he knew nothing of my sons problems. If you child needs any type of orthotics, go someplace else! Anyplace, but here. ******Response the the owner. That is a complete lie. As I mentioned in my first review, Ben Walker did call my early on a Sunday morning which I found inappropriate to begin with, but that was it. I have not received another phone call or email. Again, I stated Ben lied and said he had emailed me back twice, but I have zero emails except for his first email. There was absolutely NO follow up as he promised. If you are in fact taking your reviews so seriously, why have I not had a call this week after my review. My insurance company paid your company nearly $6,000 for a back brace my son can't even wear. This is the result of your staff not showing him the correct way or poor quality. I ask again, why has nobody reached out to me to rectify the situation? Why is my son not wearing his brace this week? Shouldn't someone be contacting me and asking if they can help us learn how to put the brace on? Do you not feel it is important to make sure after spending so much money that the product can be used. Even more importantly, we came to your practice to help my son who is in horrible pain. I will continue to tell anyone and everyone to avoid your practice until we can actually use the product we purchased. I am in the middle of letting the insurance company know that you all did not hold up your end of the deal and they paid for a product that we most likely will have to go elsewhere and have rebuilt. ****Response Nobody ever reached out to me other than Ben via a certified letter, which stated that your company would no longer provide care for my son and we should seek care elsewhere. He also demanded that we return the brace immediately!!! The whole point of all this was my son is in horrible pain and BEN thinks we should start the process over and wait even longer to get him a brace. Instead of asking us to come in and work with us on how to use the brace, his answer was for us to find somewhere else and bring back a brace we paid for. I have never in all my years experienced such unprofessional behavior, especially from a medical provider. Someone needs to mentor him on how to handle situations like this and he probably doesn't need to be in charge in any patient interaction. I will post the letter tomorrow, so anyone thinking of coming to your practice can see for themselves that BEN thought the answer was to go somewhere else. Who does that??? Reign him back in before he completely destroys your name and reputation. Btw, the number you gave me to call isn't even a working number. Hmmmm........"
