Reviews of Integrated Dermatology of North Raleigh
"I've seen 4 different doctors in the 4 visits I've had with this practice. I will NOT recommend this practice to anyone. See Visit 4 for the icing on the cake. Visit 1 - Doc was on maternity leave, but the woman who came in from retirement was an absolute gem. I wish she was my doctor for life. Visit 2 - Doc was a woman who did not smile or attempt to get to know me, my lifestyle, my situation. In & out very quickly but very impersonally. All was routine until one of my prescriptions could not be renewed because the doctor was no longer with the practice. Visit 3 - Doc was a man, very knowledgeable, kind of pushy, but much more invested than the previous visit so I was happy. I asked to make sure I'd be seeing him the next visit for consistency, he said no becuase he's leaving the practice in a month. He scheduled me for a quick followup so I could get established with yet another new doctor. Visit 4 - Long wait to be seen, verified that after 4 visits the front desk does not know how to smile or engage with patients, and when the doc came in it felt very rapid fire. She's been there 4 years so at first I was happy to believe she probably wouldn't be leaving the practice also. Instead of having a conversation about why I'm not using a face cream consistently, she simply upped the dose of the pill I take, and added on a morning cream - all while talking with the assistant person and I felt like an after thought. She didn't tell me what the cream was for, we didn't discuss any active breakouts or how often, etc. which is something I'd want a new doctor to ask me. When my insurance declined the prescription for the new cream I found out it's primary purpose is to treat leprosy. Why would my doctor prescribe a leprosy cream for a face that did not have an active breakout, or discuss what/why/etc. How about we try the upped dosage of the pill and use the night cream consistently and see how I do..... before we prescribe me a $700/mo cream for leprosy. I'll be looking for a new practice before I run out of any of my prescriptions."
"I called as a new patient needing surgery for the removal of a tumor on my hand. The woman who picked up said I can’t get in until May 2024 as a new patient. When I said I that can’t work… I need to get in to evaluate if cancerous…mid sentence she hung up on me. So… if you’re looking for a caring and concerned doctor… based on this person’s behavior… says a lot about doctors who hire such careless arrogant persons. Run the other direction ladies and gentlemen. Not very North Carolina like…. WOW!!!"
"Every time I come into this office this year the wait time is ridiculous. You have an 8:00 appointment and the staff opens the door 5 minutes to 8:00 and see you waiting. The doctor makes you wait an additional 20-30 minutes before she comes into the room. I'm thoroughly not impressed. You can tell that the practice had a huge turnover because 2 years ago when I first came this was not my experience at any point. I will be looking for my old provider and switching practices. I do NOT recommend this practice if you have a live and what great bedside treatment."
"Yes I had a follow up appointment today November 8 with Dr. Johnson and I had to reschedule because I was told he was leaving so I wanted to see him before he had left so I politely ask him that I like him and now you are leaving He was very rude and disrespectful to me said I was in his Personal Life i was so surprised of his behavior. I will not be returning back there he was a different person from my first visit . I only was being concerned and would have kept him but never will I recommend him .what awful experience,"
"Leaving a review here, as I have not at all experienced the things in some lower-starred reviews. To me, the front desk has always been super nice and accommodating. The nurse staff is great & makes you feel super comfortable. I’ve always had my Rx calls or questions returned by them within a day (which I feel is more than reasonable). Dr. Macri is amazing, so nice, makes you feel at ease, but she is also a very confident doctor who knows her stuff. I also really appreciate how efficiently the whole office runs. The time—from when I walk in to when I walk out the door—is usually only 30-60 min total. I still feel like my concerns are always addressed & it is easy to get an appt. once you’re established. I would give a piece of advice to new patients (and anyone seeing a dermatologist in general) to make separate appointments for things like skin cancer checks vs acne concerns etc. Dermatology is a broad field, and it can be difficult for them to throughly address, for example, 3 or 4 hair, skin, and nail issues in a 15 min appt. I have found limiting 1 concern to 1 appointment works beautifully."
