"I saw another UNC urgent care facility on December 18th, 2023 for an upper respiratory viral infection. Unfortunately, my condition had not improved after my prescribed treatment plan. However I do not blame the urgent care facility. I traveled thru numerous airports over the Christmas holiday and I have several pre-existing medical conditions that can make my recovery difficult. I went to the UNC Urgent Care location in Garner, NC on 12/29/23. First off, I was so grateful I was able to obtain an appt, as so many other people were also in need of medical care. I was quickly checked in and seen by a very compassionate nurse, who was so attentive to my needs. I feel so bad that I cannot remember her name. I was then seen by Jacob J. Clairmont, PA, who was also very focused to my symptoms and needs. He prescribed a breathing treatment that I received while at the facility, as well as an antibiotic and a course of prednisone. It is has been almost 24 hours since my visit and I am starting to feel better. I highly recommend the UNC Urgent Care System for anyone in need of medical treatment. My only piece of advice is to schedule an appointment vs being a walk in patient. If you schedule an appt that should cut down on your wait time. Best of luck and feel better."

"If you’d like to be treated like a drug addict for having severe back pain then this is the place to go. I’ll be disputing the charges which are outrageous by the way for your over priced ibprufen."

"If I leave zero stars, I would this staff here is completely rude everyone except for the Doctor. I brought my six-year-old in today because she had not been feeling well for a few days. The nurse that checked us in was completely rude, no bedside manner whatsoever. Then, on top of the whole rude visit As we are walking out, I realize that I did not get a paper for her missing school So I ran back to go get the paper, and I got greeted with yelling at the door that we are closed like they have lost their mind like I did not walk out of there. Finally, she let me in to get the paperwork And I can hear them saying let’s go home Running around like cheek with their head, cut off, trying to clean whatever they could real Quick. I feel like if that is how you feel at the end of the day from a job you chose then you need to choose a different profession because this is not the one for you they don’t have to worry about me returning here ever"

"I have had a few great experiences at this urgent care. Usually the wait time is very reasonable (15 - 35 minutes) as a walk in and they have you back pretty fast. They are very warm and nice when gathering information as a patient which is always nice when you are not feeling well. My interactions have been with Dr. Celeste and she has been great. She listens to my symptoms and we have a true dialogue about the best way to remedy the reason for my visit. She takes my preferences and medical history in to account and actually LISTENS to me as a patient. Too often these days doctors rush you in, are in there 3-5 minutes and then ignore everything you say or don't ask any true qualifying questions about your symptoms. I always feel that Dr. Celeste is treating me like a human and a patient and not just a number or chart. I recommend this place."

"If I could give it 0 stars I would. Went to this location today around 12:15, the receptionist was very friendly and got me checked in quickly. There was ONE patient ahead of me. I waited about 30 minutes and asked the receptionist how long the wait. She stated I was next to go back. Once I got to the back the RN who was VERY friendly and professional took my vitals and me the provider (Akelah) would be in shortly. About 30-35 minutes went past and the patients that came in after me were leaving. I went out and told them I was leaving due to the fact that this is a first come, first serve facility and I’ve been here almost 2 hours and have yet to be seen. Once I decided to leave the “provider” says “I was coming to you next”. I asked for the manager (Jennifer) they said she wouldn’t be there until Friday. If the providers are going to treat patients this way, this facility need to be closed. It’s unfair to pick and choose who they want to serve in a timely manner. I will be reporting this to the higher ups at UNC and the BBB. This was BY FAR the worst experience I’ve ever had at any UNC facility."
