Reviews of Banfield Pet Hospital
"A+! The staff is very accommodating and nice. They treat my pup very well."
"Worst vet experience ever. The receptionist was completely dismissive of me from the moment I got there to get my dog checked in. I waited forever and watched as two other people who got checked in after me had their pets seen before me. I finally went back up and asked to be rescheduled and she nervously tried to to take my dog knowing full well that she had ignored me and forgotten me. Then I had to wait hours afterwards watching as even more people moved in and out much more quickly. This was supposed to be a simple check up for a puppy. What in the work were they doing to my dog in the back room?"
"Refused to see my pet; offered no alternative. As a prior employee, and current wellness plan member, I am furious with how the staff at this location, wouldn’t even listen to what was going on with my pet. If I could give them 0 stars I would."
"I changed vets after my cat, being seen on appointment made nearly a week before for a skin rash, was made to wait 45 minutes outside to go in even though I informed that he peed in his carrier on the way in and he needed cleaning. After finally taking him back, I was told to pick him up about 2 hours later. When I called 2 hours later, I was told they required his vaccine history before they would see him. So they had let him sit there in his carrier for 2 additional hours and hadn't called me at all. This is the main reason I will not go back. My cat was already suffering and he was made to suffer more in a loud, stressful environment while sitting in his own urine for an extended amount of time. At this point, on a Saturday, I wouldn't be able to send proof that his vaccine was current as his previous vet was closed. I had them give him an unnecessary rabies vaccine so they would at least look at him that day. Once seen, the vet had nothing but speculation. They suggested at first it was fleas, but he's an indoor cat and neither he, nor my other 2 indoor pets have fleas. Then it was maybe an allergy, stress, virus, bacteria. All of these things we could try to treat for hundreds of dollars and try something else for hundreds more if it didn't work. I left at that point. I can google how to help my cat better than the vet could help. Front staff don't appear to like their job or even want to be there, let alone make you feel welcome. Do not recommend."
"If I could give them no stars I would. First of all it sucks you have to always leave your dog and your not able to go in with them and talk to the vet. We took our dog to have her yearly checkup and shots and we specifically told them she was having some issues with her glands and wanted them to make sure they expressed them and make sure nothing else was going on. They failed to do that at her appointment. We called back and a few days later because she was getting worse. The lady on the the phone said oh they must have forgotten to do it just bring her in Friday (4days later) and you can wait for her and they will take care of it while you wait. We get there and they tell us we can’t wait and we have to leave her all day and can’t even speak to the vet. Needless to say we didn’t get it done and are now looking for a reputable vet. This place sucks."
