"We worked with Cearra at Speech Tactics for almost a year. Frank started out slow, not talking too much and over time he came out of his shell. Cearra was very engaged with Frankie and delighted in his joy when working together. This brought more joy to Frank and speech quickly became his special Frankie time. When Frank finally started to add a few words to his vocabulary, "speech" and "Cearra" were part of his very small vocabulary. Once things really started to click, Frank's labeling of objects expanded exponentially. As Frankie progressed, Cearra came to each session with new things to focus on and new suggestions to take home to work on. I have had Frankie at an inhome daycare and have him set to go to a real daycare in the fall. I'm finally confident enough to send him because of the hard teamwork we put in with Cearra and the progress we made. We are now building Frank's IFSP so he can receive support in the classroom and the evaluators were extremely impressed with the ways I interacted with Frank to elicit smooth communication routines - I credited the way Cearra modeled and taught while working with Frank. She wasn't just helping Frankie, she was helping me see how to better interact with him and took time to speak through what I could do. I can't recommend enough!
