"Virginia is an incredible therapist, and I cannot recommend her enough. I was dealing with shoulder pain that was not resolved after multiple different therapists, steroid injections, and surgery. In just four weeks, she resolved my shoulder pain with a comprehensive plan that was customized for my individual situation. I wish I had gone to see her sooner!"
"In pain? You need Virginia. I’ve been yoga-ing, stretching, icing, and massage-gunning my left lower back for a good 6 months. Within 1 session of meeting with Virginia and being dry needled, I’ve seen improvement. She’s also done wonders for a chronic biceps issue. She’s also laid-back, great company, fun to chat with, and relatable, so time with her is a happy investigation of your body AND like chatting with a friend. She knows her stuff. Highly recommend."
"I can't speak highly enough about my satisfaction with the services provided by Virginia, but also her comprehensive approach and caring nature when providing treatments to her patients initially and in an ongoing basis. Virginia did not attempt to simply treat me and charge a copay when I first walked into her office with a partially torn glute medius. Instead, she put me through a barrage of questions and movements to determine what the potential root cause of my injury was. Once we had identified a few of the major root causes, treatment began. In my case there were a number of things that were contributing to the recurring injury that had never even been discussed with a doctor or that I myself had considered. All of the diagnostic work that was done led to a multi-pronged approach for treatment. My treatment focused on constantly varied mobility work (that changed on a bi-weekly basis) to promote full range of motion, e-stim and dry needling to help loosen the various muscle groups and regions as well as reduce inflammation, and auxiliary work to help strengthen under-utilized supporting muscles and promote proper "firing" when doing specific lifts and movements. I found myPT through a recommendation from my CrossFit coach after multiple doctors from UNC and Duke Sports Medicine were unable to provide any medical advice or treatments other than "you need to rest it and let it heal" and charged my insurance >$200/visit. Virginia is not interested in simply charging patients, but getting to the actual root causes of their issues and fixing our broken bodies. Virginia is a no-nonsense kind of professional that will tell you things you don't want to hear in order for you to make educated decisions and put actions in place for treatment. While the treatment may not always be or feel comfortable, it delivered the results I needed not only to better understand how I hurt myself but also to know how to avoid injuries. I've been injury-free and none of the injuries have occurred since she treated me (over 3 years ago). While not everyone will have the mindset to engage in this kind of treatment and therapy, without Virginia I fear that I would still be in the vicious cycle of seeing specialists and getting advice of "just take some rest" without ever getting any better. For that, I am eternally grateful for my time and work with her as well as the education I got during my treatments."
"After having become frustrated with PT following wrist surgery, a friend referred me to Virginia. I knew I was finally in the right hands after my initial consultation. She addressed all of my concerns with compassion and expertise. Virginia is an incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and caring therapist with an approach that feels ‘holistic’, which is just what I needed. The combination of dry needling along with Gua Sha and exercises designed to specifically address both mobility and strength have made a remarkable difference in my healing in a very short time. Additionally, all of the exercises she has designed for me are easily adaptable for home practice. I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you so much, Virginia. Meeting you was a game changer. I’m so glad you do what you do."
"Virginia has helped ease my pain and increase my mobility in a variety of joints and muscles over the years. The independent nature of her practice allows her to spend quality time on diagnosis and treatment of whatever is causing me problems. Her dry needling skills are outstanding, aiding in the healing and pain of the affected muscles. Above and beyond any therapist I have had, I whole-heartedly recommend Virginia as a physical therapist to get you back to feeling and moving normally for everyday living and sports!"
