Feeling Great Sleep Medical Centers

"My doctor referred me here for a sleep study. I called before requesting a referral here to make sure they could schedule me in a timely manner (other sleep centers are booked months out). Two weeks after the referral by my doctor I had heard nothing so I called the local location in Durham, NC. I was told they were checking on my insurance coverage (I had not given them my insurance details so I'm not sure how they were checking on my coverage). Then 2 weeks later I get a voicemail that they need my insurance details (I can't book an appointment until they have verified insurance coverage). I called back 30 minutes later (and I called repeatedly many times over the next week) and kept getting the voicemail of someone who was not the name of the person who left me a message. I got a call back about 4 business days later saying my message had just been received and to call back. Again, I called multiple times a day and kept getting voicemail. Finally I left a second message explaining how I was struggling to get in touch with someone and could they leave a number where I could actually reach a person and not voicemail. At this point I was 6-weeks post the date my doctor made the referral. Since leaving that 2nd voicemail, no one has called me back. So I requested 2 referrals elsewhere. Guess what? I was called within 2 days of my doctor's referral from a different sleep center and I called them back and got a real person on the phone and scheduled my sleep study. I wasted 6 weeks on this Feeling Great Sleep Medical Center and never even got to the point of making an appointment. That is not the type of organization I want managing any of my medical information. I do want to add that the staff I spoke to at the local center were helfpul, but whatever department is handling insurance verification and responding to referrals is horribly missing the mark."

"Their website says to contact them for "life-threatening medical condition". I did. Then, for 7 weeks, I called multiple Feeling Great offices to make an appointment. Each time I was told I was being registered and they'd get back to me shortly. They never got back to me. I ended up using an online doctor and had my prescription in under 4 minutes. I cannot believe this company operates this way."

"Excellent service! My husband was prescribed a CPAP by his physician. Feeling Great had a nice selection of masks. Erin worked with my husband to choose a machine and a mask that’s appropriate and spent a generous amount of time providing one-on-one instruction and answering our many questions. This resulted in my husband using the machine successfully from the first night and sleeping better now than he has in years."

"The staff was very professional and extremely nice. Due to lack of good sleep, I admit I was very grumpy and inpatient with them but they continued to be professional and helpful. (I had been waiting for months to get a machine from another company so I guess that added to my frustrations.) They explained the process of me getting a machine and that my insurance needed to approve the machine before I could get it. Once they got my approval they called to schedule me (it didn't take months). The past reviews don't give them enough credit. I highly recommend them. I'm glad I gave them a chance and didn't judge them by their past reviews. They changed my life and my wife's."
