Reviews
"As someone who has been a ‘frequent flyer’ at PT offices for a wide range and severity of injuries in the past, I can’t overstate the benefit I have found in using the Obstacle Docs! Chris is amazing at addressing issues and keeping me able to perform the activities I want and working to help achieve fitness goals. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get back into or stay in activities"
"Dr. Danielle has been an absolute lifesaver in my journey to recovery from a gluteus medius injury on my right hip, as well as strengthening my feet following a foot injury. Her expertise and the remarkable technique of dry needling have made a world of difference in my healing process. From the very first session, Dr. Danielle's professionalism and dedication were evident. She took the time to thoroughly assess my condition and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to my specific needs. Her ability to explain the importance of each exercise and technique in a clear and understandable manner greatly contributed to my progress. One of the standout aspects of Dr. Danielle's care is her skill in dry needling. Dry needling significantly relieved the tension and discomfort in my right hip, allowing me to regain mobility and comfort that I thought might be lost forever. Furthermore, Dr. Danielle's dedication to my overall well-being is commendable. She didn't just address the immediate issues but also worked on strengthening my feet, which was crucial for my long-term recovery and preventing future injuries. Along with being a wonderful physio therapist, she is a great friend as well. Thanks to Dr. Danielle's expertise and compassionate care, I am well on my way to being back on my toes, quite literally. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of physiotherapy, especially if dry needling is a potential treatment option. Her skill, knowledge, and commitment to her patients make her an exceptional healthcare provider who truly makes a positive difference in the healing process."
"I was recommended The Obstacle Doc through a friend when I was struggling with some intense pain in my foot when trying to run in early 2023. Dr. Chris was awesome at helping me pinpoint why I may be having these issues when running and equipping me with the right exercises to be able to run pain-free. After only a few weeks of visits, I was seeing improvement in my abilities to run farther with significantly less pain in my foot. By June, I ran a 5-miler with no pain and now, I still see Dr. Chris for follow-ups every few months while training for a half marathon PAIN FREE! I've learned so much about running beyond my injury from Dr. Chris and feel well-equipped to crush my first half. Highly recommend working with Dr. Chris and/or Dr. Daniela if you are looking for a team who listens and really caters to your needs ☺️"
"I recently worked with Chris Kosobucki from the Obstacle Doc in an effort to avoid surgery in connection with a lingering posterior tibial tendonitis / tenosynovitis problem in my left ankle. Although I was living in St Louis, I had been referred to a well-known foot-ankle specialist at Duke (Dr. Sam Adams) who told me that, in his opinion, I would likely need surgery. That was not what I wanted to hear! Dr. Adams told me that if I had any chance at all of avoiding surgery, I would need to pursue a very directed - and challenging - course of physical therapy with Chris in Durham, NC. Although he couldn't speak to the abilities of other PT's, having worked closely with Chris, Dr. Adams was confident that Chris would be my best shot. I decided to make the commitment to travel to Durham from St Louis each week for two sessions of physical therapy on my foot and ankle. Chris proved to be all that Dr. Adams had described: he listened carefully to my account of the history of my problem; he asked lots of questions; he reviewed the doctor's notes; and he designed a course of action to strengthen my foot and ankle. We used clinic time for him to put me through some paces, and then I was given "homework" to do throughout the week. Chris was always personable and encouraging. It was a pleasure to work with him. After working with Chris for six weeks, there was enough improvement that I was told that surgery was no longer imminent. I have continued physical therapy here in St Louis and am about 75% of the way back to my normal active lifestyle. I owe my progress to Chris whose expertise got me out of the "surgery zone." I would highly recommend Chris Kosobucki for PT of the foot and ankle, even in very challenging circumstances. Speaking from personal experience, he definitely delivers the good!"
"I can not say enough great things about how working with Dr. Daniella has transformed my postpartum pelvic floor and hip pain. I ended up searching for Pelvic Floor PT after the birth of my second child left me with pain all through my pelvis and hips when I attempted to do anything more strenuous than walking -and sometimes even a walk left me with bruising pain and pressure. I have been working with Dr. Daniella for over 3 months now and I never could have imagined just how much a difference not just pelvic floor PT has made, but talking to and being treated by someone like Dr. Daniella. She cares about you and your well-being, works to educate you on what she is doing and the feedback she gets from your body and creates exercises that make a difference. Through Dr. Daniella, I have learned how to call on the muscles in my body that I had been ignoring for years and which had contributed to not must my pelvic floor issues but acute hip issues. I have gotten so much more than I ever expected and would recommend Obstacle Doc/Dr. Daniella to anyone who has been having pelvic floor issues and doesn't think there is anything that can be done- I am so grateful I found her."
