"No service anymore. Info need to be updated"
"Avoid; an absolute waste of time and money! Went in a few days ago for sore throat, fever, swollen glands, and throbbing pain in my ear. The provider only tested me for covid and strep, despite me telling her I had already tested negative for covid. She never looked at my throat with the light, same with my ear despite that being my chief complaint, and noting my history of ear infections and ear issues in general. She also never palpated or acknowledged my swollen glands. Overall, just neglected basic assessment skills. I had also asked for a mono test, and she didn't want to do it. Just told me to increase motrin, and wait it out as both tests came back negative. Less than 41 hours later I had to go to another urgent care as my condition hadn't improved at all. They immediately did the basic assessments of my throat, ears, neck, etc as well as multiple tests, including mono. Low and behold, I tested positive for mono, the one thing the lady refused to test me for here. They also gave me antibiotics for strep and a steroid for the inflammation. Overall, they ignored basic requests and needs and didn't help me in the least bit. Would never go to, or recommend any CVS urgent care to anyone ever after that experience and visit."
"It was really nice experience for my vaccination, and they provided me a detailed explanation with multiple options to save my cost."
"This visit was a waste of time and money. I can't speak on this particular nurse's experience with other common illnesses, but I went in due to the fact that I'd been directly exposed to coxsackievirus (which causes herpangina and hand foot and mouth disease) for a full week. Adults often don't show many, if any, symptoms, but I'd been showing one of the symptoms for over 2 weeks by that point when it should've been gone by then, and the redness of my throat had told me it was likely a virus, which is why I went in rather than keep waiting for the virus to go away. My symptoms strongly pointed to herpangina -- they're very identifiable and particular to herpangina -- which is what I went in to confirm and see if I could get more tips about what I can do to prevent it from spreading, but the nurse hadn't even heard of this illness even though it's just as common as hfm disease (due to it coming from the same virus). Apparently she also didn't know that adults often don't show symptoms of this virus, or that hand sanitizer doesn't do anything to the virus at all, which she continued using, uselessly. I even checked out the ingredients on the hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall in the exam room and none of them were capable of killing the virus, which is very difficult to kill and requires disinfecting only with certain chemicals and products, like bleach and ammonia, and can stay active on surfaces for up to several weeks. She told me that if it were hfm disease I would have blisters, which again, isn't necessarily true for adults. She asked me the same questions about my symptoms multiple times, which I answered the same way multiple times, and wanted to do a strep test, even though I haven't been showing ANY symptoms of strep whatsoever, and of course it was negative. And at one point, a sheet of paper she had scribbled something on had fallen into the sink, and she actually reached in with her bare hand to take it out without even attempting to disinfect it immediately after, which was super gross and unhygienic, especially for a nurse. The most appalling part of this trip was the fact that I literally watched her google herpangina on her phone, and she proceeded to tell me the exact same thing I had already read when I had googled it several days before. Rather than do the responsible thing and admit that she didn't have the knowledge or expertise to give me more information about the illness and suggest a place that was better equipped to provide me with the info I needed, she pushed on anyway as if she knew what she was doing, even though I already knew by that point she wasn't going to be able to help me. The only thing she was able to confirm was that it was likely a virus. The fact that I certainly can't trust that the room or her hands were adequately sanitized makes me wonder if the virus has already been passed on to someone else unknowingly. I likely won't be coming back to this particular clinic unless they can be sure the medical professionals are better trained to recognize common illnesses, including those caused by coxsackievirus, and can confirm that their facility is being disinfected correctly."
"The health care provider Kelly Fox is really nice, patient and professional. She checked our symptoms very carefully. She gave us prescriptions and very good suggestions. It’s our best doctor’s visit experience. Thank you so much!"
