"I genuinely enjoyed this place a lot. It’s not fancy by all means but not a hole in the wall either. Didn’t really have a theme based in it. Their portions are very large, and certainly well worth the price. Service was spectacular and food came quickly and was full of flavor. Would highly recommend for a quick craving of fried rice of lo mein craving."

"Normally we love the food we get from IslandWok. As locals, we love to support local businesses. Tonight my order, though ordered the exact same way we always order it, came with mushrooms when it usually doesn’t. Odd but no big deal, so my daughter went right back and they kindly said they would fix it. Yeah. No, they did not. They took the same plate back and picked the freaking mushrooms out of my food (hopefully not by hand) because it still has mushrooms on it and the tray was so soggy I couldn’t eat out of it when my daughter got back (barely a mile away) I’m sick so I didn’t bother sending it back for a redo. Picking some of the mushrooms off the top is NOT how you fix that. Good thing I’m not ALLERGIC! How is that even proper customer service?!"

"Food was amazing. Veggie medley comes with zuchinni, onion and mushroom and brocolli add on is only $2. Food tastes really great and is largely portioned. Enough for leftovers for lunch. Service is friendly and polite, also made them selves available to help. Loved that they played fail army videos LOL and had good radio music on. It is a great addition to surf city as it gives you something different then seafood, Mexican, Italian and bar food all the only other places have."

"Dined in on a Saturday night after spending time at the beach. We were promptly greeted, seated, served drinks and had plenty of help from their staff on menu questions and vegan selections. We started with an appetizer of edamame before moving on to entrees which included the Asian Salad, Chicken Hibachi Bowl, Shrimp Hibachi Bowl and a side of steamed white rice for our little one. Very impressed! Food was served quickly and was cooked perfectly, servers were attentive on refills, extra napkins, etc. and I loved the little touches like an orchid on the table and environmentally friendly dishes. Very clean and the open atmosphere that makes the restaurant feel much larger than you’d imagine from the outside. Can’t wait to go back once they’ve secured their ABC license to enjoy some sake while exploring their menu further."

"Well I would say I’m a bit of a food connoisseur; Asian style food being one of my favorites. With that being said, Island Wok has something special! Everything we tasted was absolutely phenomenal! Customer service was top notch. For a soft opening I’ve only been to a couple that were even to par with them. Very excited to see what they accomplish. We tried almost everything on the menu. The dumplings were great, the egg rolls and spring rolls were good; the spring rolls were better personally. Chicken was tender, shrimp were cooked perfectly, filet was outstanding and each piece was tender. Filet was my personal favorite. The fried rice and noodles both were good, vegetables were consistently good. Fried rice took my favorite over the noodles. The doughnut holes were to die for! Lol I mean crazy good! We had zero issues with the food or service; & personally I am a hard person when ordering & eating, they had no issues. Thank y’all for having us!"
