"November 5th, 2021. I was down to my absolute lowest. I struggle with bipolar disorder, PTSD, and anxiety. In September of 2021 I sunk down deep into a depressive episode. It spiraled and spiraled downward until I could no longer take it. After reaching out for help everywhere I could think of - nothing. November 5th 2021 I planned to take my life. As I began to walk down the stairs of our home my wife met me halfway while she was coming home from work. She immediately knew something was wrong, she had known I was slipping but she knew this time is was it. We went to Atrium Behavioral Health and I was seen immediately. From the CNA’s to the PA’s to the front desk staff, everyone was so kind and truly caring. I was given a medication adjustment and met briefly with a social worker just to talk. They then helped me get on the waiting list for Hopeway in Charlotte, NC, assisting me the whole way through it. Fast forward to today - I have a 3 year old little girl and a 10 month old son, I’m a full time employee and a better husband. If I wouldn’t have gone to this hospital I know I would not be here today. They truly played a crucial role in helping me. I am about to attend nursing school in the fall of 2024 to become a nurse in a behavioral health setting. Whether it’s here (hopefully lol) or some where else. My mission is now this : To give hope to the hopeless. Thanks for reading!"

"Absolutely Horrible. All of the staff there were sick with Covid so coming out of state they basically were all really sick. Dr.Ossonman or whatever gave me a detox of haldol and colonodeine to come off Suboxoe and kolonopin. Absolutely moronic. Saw me less than 5 minutes a day and had the audacity to call my doctor who I’ve had for over a year and tell him to stop prescribing me my medication. Absolute most moronic Dr and His Assistant Staff just in disgust with the fact that they get away with the “treatment” they provide."

"I asked several times what my bill would be as per the NC transparency in Medicare bill. No one would answer me. I wanted to see a doc about getting on a sleeping pill that would work, as my meds weren’t letting me sleep. They doubled my dose on the same med (not what I asked for) and I saw a doctor after 5 hrs of waiting for a total of less than 15 mins. When I saw the bill after insurance it was over $2400, with my insurance covering $500. I was told this was the minimum for this facility. It is amazing that no member of staff on-site knew this when billing treats it as absolute fact. I have made multiple attempts to get this to a more appropriate figure, but their facility is designed to not let you talk to anyone that makes billing decisions, no matter how hard you try. They’ll have people unaffiliated with billing call you back. Tl:dr, they aren’t honest about what they charge and then overcharge in a league of their own. Also, they have an insect infestation in their waiting room. Not super relevant but for a medical facility it’s downright perturbing."

"Dr Rona also misdiagnose people and falsify medical documents. How do these people get away with stuff like that? Isn’t that a breach of conduct? They really need to get fired. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gabby with the stiff burgundy wig still bully the patients. Pitiful. Ashley the tech and Kim with the natural fro were always positive and up lifting!"

"Do not even bother with this place. This is a BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FACILITY. Meaning you should treat anyone who calls with at least a little bit of patience and kindness. People who are seeking help may be terrified and nervous about seeing a doctor. It may take a lot of courage to even call. They should not be treated as trash. You never know what someone might be going through. Don't work in a mental health facility if you can't even pretend to be nice to someone. Do better."
