Reviews of Southeast Pain and Spine Care - Museum Medical Plaza
"If there was a 0 or negative amount of Stars, this place would get it! I have never seen a Dr's office with this level of disrespect and indifference for their patients! If your primary Dr refers you to Southeast Pain & Spine Management, refuse and then find another Primary Dr too because they both must be incompetent! This is the type of place that should not be allowed to take care of toilets much less human beings! I mean look at the majority of the reviews! Would you to any other establishment with so many bad reviews? I didn't think so....."
"I’ve been going to this location for 3 years almost. The service has not always been so pleasant. My visit back in October I seen a new PA and she informed me that when I did my drug test back in May YES May that something came up in my system that they didn’t prescribe. (I had never even heard of the drug) I asked her why was this just now being brought to my attention when I had been to appointments 3 times since May. Only thing she could think of is that they didn’t see it. So they did another drug test at that visit in October it was on a Monday and I had been out of my medicine since the Friday prior. At my appointment this past Monday the same PA informed me that they would no longer be able to prescribe me my medicine because nothing came up in my system. Well, if I had been out of the medicine since Friday it wouldn’t be any in my system. And then she goes on to say well since that test back in May showed something in my system that they didn’t prescribe that also played a part in her decision. I don’t even know what the medicine is that she said was in my system never heard of it. We are all human and sometimes it’s possible for a mistake to be made on the end of the doctors office. I would not put anything in my system that is not prescribed to me. I am a bus driver and I get tested for drugs randomly. I would not jeopardize my job or my life for a pill!! They treat you like your some type of Attic. Just because there are people out here that abuse drugs not everyone is like that. I have chronic pain do to some health issues in the past. And just like that I’m discharged for no reason on my part. I will never go back to this clinic or any other atrium for the rest of my life. They have treated me horribly numerous of times and this just put the icing on the cake."
"Respones to any and everything is slack. Return phone calls take way longer than they should and scheduling of tests and treatment are not done unless you the patient stay on top of them and call every day. One of the biggest issue is now they tell you they can't see you if you are even 2 min late for your appointment but have no problem leaving you sitting in the waiting room for 45 min after your "scheduled" appointment time then leaving you another 20 min in the room waiting to be seen. Why is the patients time not as valuable as their staff? The attitudes of some of the staff is also less than desirable. They treat all the patients as if they are simply drug seekers. Some patients really do have chronic ailments and need treatment and medications not just because they want the drugs."
"Everybody's really polite while your there. You sign the contract & do your best to honour the contract. But where is the contract you should adhere to? Responding in a timely manner! We come to you primarily for chronic pain, which already has your nerves on edge. But it seems you have no empathy for your patience! I've called multiple to talk to receptionist who has no answers, just send you to the nurses line that no one ever answers. Just gives you explicit directions on spelling, information needed, etc. But you can't call back within even 48 hours....REALLY! And at times, have the nerve to use the power you feel you have, to deny a patient. While I know there are persons who our out for the gain, some of us just simply want pain management care! If the services weren't necessary, I would've left this place a long time ago. STILL WAITING ON A RETURN CALL SINCE 6/23/16, & IT'S 7/5! AND THE NURSE TOLD ME NOT TO REFILL MY RX DUE 6/25!"
"If you can go somewhere else, go. The unfortunate reality is that the abuse of prescription drugs has completely jaded the industry. This makes it incredibly hard for individuals like myself (HIPPA ALERT: someone who has had 8 surgeries on one knee in the past 2-1/2 years) to obtain relief from pain symptoms. When you contact their prescription line, you must wait 3 days. Fair enough. But today was the 3rd time in under a year where they did not fill a prescription for Celebrex, the non-narcotic godsend of a drug. My pharmacist tried multiple times to contact this office, and didn't even get a call-back within a week and a half. They started faxing the office, as a result, and still received nothing. So I called the office because this seemed like the most logical choice. I was required to call back during business hours, because you cannot leave a prescription request after hours (inconvenient, but whatever). When I explained my case, the receptionist interrupted me several times. The irony is she interrupted me to ask exactly what I was explaining (name, DOB, time I called in the drug etc). Next she transfers me to another person; a nurse who was even more rude. She interrupted me several times, so I asked if I could complete my story for her. She laughed. LAUGHED! Then it was a game of "Can I speak now", and "are you finished, sir"? I'm sorry, but be professional. I know your business will always thrive...but treat me as a person with pain. Be compassionate. I'm not here to make your life miserable, but realize that you have the ability impact the quality of mine. Get your stuff together. But in the meantime, I will not recommend this office anymore. It's a necessary evil, and they'll continue to act like the kings of the empire with no regards to those who really need their services. I agree completely with the reviewer below me; and if this is the same nurse, I would only be surprised at why she's still working there and speaking directly with customers! UPDATE: It was the exact same nurse, nurse Pearson. When I asked her to provide her name, she just said "this is the nurse on duty, and that's all you need to know, sir". Eventually, the front desk told me who the nurse was."
