Reviews of Novant Health OB/GYN Urgent Care - Highland Creek
"Wonderful experience, my provider was super fast and informative. She answered any questions I had. Every time I’ve went and seen her she was always great! Will definitely be returning."
"Very disappointed. I came here once before early in my second trimester right when they opened on a weekday and was seen quickly and had a good experience. I tried to come again just now on a Saturday an hour and a half before closing, and no one is in the building. They seem to have left early. So now I have high blood pressure in my third trimester and will just wait to see if it goes down since apparently the hours of the urgent care are not being honored."
"I did not immediately come here to complain but earlier this year I had a bad experience with this place. Do not go here. You will leave with inaccurate diagnosis. The doctor I saw insinuated that my husband had multiple partners and gave me an STD. She ignored my concerns entirely and was dismissive. I was cramping terribly, bloated and bleeding so much I thought I was having a miscarriage and decided I couldn't wait so I came here instead of the ER due to wait times. The doctor had me take a urine test and have a pelvic exam... to also send for any trace of an std anyway. Infuriating. I was told there was no blood coming from my uterus, only my cervix and that the only thing she can say is that it's probably friability or perimenopause because I was almost 40. I left there with no answers and still bleeding heavily and in pain. I was furious and unconvinced. Thankfully I was able to schedule with my regular OB/GYN the next morning- Monday. I was NOT perimenopausal, I did NOT have a cheating husband with an STD nor did I have a UTI. I had LOW PROGESTERONE. An ultrasound and blood panel confirmed that. I also left with pain meds, medicine to stop the bleeding and a prescription for progesterone to take. Seriously, do not go here."
"my doctor told me to come here since their office was closed for the weekend. i was hesitant due to the reviews but needed care so decided to go ahead and go. the lady who took me back was rude and you could tell she hated her job and seemed like she hated her life as well. however the nurse practitioner and sonogram technician were kind. I went in for cramps and a possible infection. I was informed I would have a pelvic exam and they even laid out the tools to do one. however, that never happened. I was asked if I had a history of UTIs, I replied I’ve had them before but it’s been years. they asked me if I had any burning while urinating or if it was frequent to which I answered no to both. instead of giving my a pelvic exam to test for BV or a yeast infection, I was told they were sending my urine off to test for a UTI. I knew 100% that I did not have a UTI. When I finally got an appointment with my doctor almost 2 weeks later, they found that I had BV. Which can cause difficulties in pregnancy and delivery, and in some cases even miscarry. If they would’ve done their job correctly and listened to their patient, then it could have been taken care of by the time I even got into my doctors office. disappointed to say the very least. I did not feel as if the workers here cared about me enough to even listen to my concerns. they simply just the easiest route where they had to do the least amount of work. I would not recommend going here at all. the people in the reviews that say you’re better off going to the ER are right. protect yourself at all costs. listen to your gut."
"Front desk ladies were lovely. However, the nurse that brought me back was extremely unfriendly and rude. Her name is Finesha and she kept asking me “why are you here” over and over again each time after I throughly explained why I was there. I believed I was having a miscarriage and was explaining why I thought that in great detail. She refused to elaborate on what more she needed from me because I obviously wasn’t giving her the answer she needed even though I was extremely detailed. She eventually told me in the end that “they only treat patients who have a real problems in urgent care.” She kept pushing to the point that I was in tears and for the first time in my life I stood up and walked out of the office. There were other things that she did and said- such as her rolling her eyes and having a massive attitude and being overly annoyed with me. Before I left, I told her that she was not being very kind to a pregnant woman who was nervous and anxious about possibly having a miscarriage. She didn’t care or try to apologize or help me any further. She didn’t feel like I deserved to be there and that left me in a panic attack to where my husband had to hold me where I was shaking so bad with being upset and my heart was beating so fast. If you go to this urgent care advise that you request not to be seen by this lady. Or go somewhere else! And just FYI, I have never ever had Novant treat me so poorly. They have always been wonderful and kind. I’ve even had other people outside of Novant not be very nice to me, but this lady was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I got so upset that I can’t even remember all the details but it was horrid. She hates her job and was trying to get a rise out of me. I feel sorry for any other pregnant woman that goes into that urgent care for help and has to work with her. I’ve never understood why people who clearly don’t like people or their jobs are are in care positions? I know it was an urgent care- but I expected better from a Novant facility. Hopefully, Novant will take care of this and make it right."
