"Dr. Player has been my doctor since 2007. Even though I have moved back to North Myrtle Beach, I continue to travel back to Wilmington to see him. When I first moved to Wilmington, I called this office and told them that I needed to get in with a doctor. She asked me when did I need an appointment. I told her I did not know but that one day I would call and say that I have pneumonia and need to come in. I was placed with another doctor, but fortunately that doctor was unavailable; and I was placed with Dr. Player. He has a very keen sense of humor and asked me how I chose him. Was he the only one that would take my insurance. I said oh no. I have that State of NC health insurance. Everybody likes my insurance. I went in on a Tuesday and looked like death warmed over. When you have had pneumonia as many times as I have, you know when you have it. I told him if he would put me on the right antibiotic that I would respond quickly. He was going out of town for the weekend and did not want to leave until he checked me again. I went back on Thursday; and when he walked in the room, he could not believe the difference. From that day to this, he realizes that I know my body well and listens to what I have to say. He is very thorough and orders blood work when needed and makes sure that all of my vaccinations are current. He is very pleasant, has a good sense of humor and has a good bedside manner. I highly recommend him."
