"I had only ever been to Dr. Burns since I started seeing a women’s health physician and I had never seen a major issue until my last visit in March. I was excited to discuss trying for our first child but the first thing out of her mouth coming into the room was “your weight is creeping up since your last visit, you need to watch that.” I was basically in training for my wedding at that point on a strict diet. I was 18% body fat, 155 pounds and workout 7 days a week - cardio and weights - not to toot my own horn but I’m mostly muscle. I had an eating disorder the last time I had visited her and was maybe 5-10 pounds lighter. At that point, I couldn’t even speak - I was shocked by the immediate dismissal and the fact she didn’t even ask about my diet or lifestyle but weight was her primary concern. She then lectured me about not taking prenatals when I wasn’t even pregnant and said I could be harming my future baby by not doing so. She lectured about vaccines I do not want and have never wanted. All around a horrible experience that pushed me to never go back. I found Ashley Women’s Center after conceiving my first child and the care I’ve seen there has far outweighed anything I ever experienced at Courtview. My mother, mother’s friends and I all have seen Dr Burns and we’ve all experienced weight shaming without even a question about our lifestyles. She is solely focused on that and nothing else when she herself has no room to speak on the matter. Don’t go there if you’re looking for actual care."

"I tried to call and set up an appointment. The lady that answered the phone seemed sleepy, disinterested, and life-hating. If the goal of the practice is the grow, then they need better representation on the phone. If they want to stay where they are, I guess she is perfect---but I'm not wasting my time trying to schedule with them again."

Dr Hartwell also makes it a point to check in on my mental health which I feel is very valuable in any Healthcare serting. My appointments always run on time and I am always seen in a prompt manner.
