Reviews of Coastal Southeastern United Care
"I had some issues with them a couple of years ago. But, now that they are under new management I love them. They are extremely nice and very dependable. I would recommend using any other service providers."
"The staff are not trying to help whom are on their schedule. Tryed to get an appointment with their Psychiatrist. After working with them for over 4 years. Nothing happened. Had to get one thru my local health department. Want to get help. Don't go through this Company. Samuel Harrill."
"Great mental health office/company. Office changes, caring staff; qualified professionals doing an awesome job taking care of disadvantaged individuals. Coastal is making a big difference in Gaston county! Best ACTT around!!"
"First let me say, I absolutely LOVED my job. I LOVED what I did and the people in which I served. I watched a multitudes of staff come in and quickly leave out. I HAD alot of hope and really aspired to see change in the work culture there. Yes, some individuals who left, or was made to leave weren't meant to be there and you will have that. I am someone who puts my all into everything that I do, and I did so there. Towards the end of my road there, every single staff member that was there before I came was no longer there with the exception of 2. Which leads to .....why? That was a going thing there...why will staff not stay, why could staff not be kept. You will read endless reviews on how Managment and lack of communication is to blame, and unfortunately there is truth in that. Here are some things I experienced while working for Coastal: I first started with this company as the Office Manager, and then was promoted to ACTT Program Assistant. I was hesitant on taking the position as there was no one there at that current time to fill my position and I feared that would leave me responsible for both positions. My fears were valid as this is what happened. I had to fill the roles for both positions for months before a valid office manager was hired that could actually fill that role. At one point in their operation "Why can't we keep staff".....I was brought into a room and told that I was being terminated...mind you with no rhyme or reason as to exactly why but I was told things like "Your brain just isn't wired right for this position." Oh and the big whammy "We aren't going to deny you unemployment...we just ask that you tell your coworkers that you are leaving due to a family emergency".. Seriously? Asking me to lie to my coworkers at a job in which I LOVED...by telling them that I was leaving on my own accord and due to a "family emergency" no thank you I have more value for myself and others than that. The newly hired office manager then, pulled me aside, in the process of me fighting for my position and told me that they offered her my job....before I was even "let go" After fighting for my rightfully earned position...and keeping it....I was told later that was a mistake that they did that and they realized how much I did there, and blame shifted and pinned those actions on a previous employee who in all actuality had no part in it whatsoever. Management is very tight knit with each other, but then again they would tell me to do things and to keep it hush hush from others in management. Example: I needed to leave 2 hours early one afternoon in order to take care of things with my vehicle and pick my child up at school as we were operating with one vehicle. I informed HR of this earlier in the week and was told that would be fine...only to be told on the day of to turn in a slip for "time off" .....mind you I came in almost 2 hours early this day and worked through my lunch. I explained this to the newly designated HR and was told "just don't say anything to anyone or to (QCM) and if anyone ask you had to leave early." Well turns out I was in a meeting with (QCM) when I needed to leave. So I excuse myself and phone (HR) to be told "Idk just tell her you had to leave for an emergency and you may have to fill out a "time off request"...."
"This is by far the worst mental health providers ever ... I've called left my name and number and no one returns your calls till days later !!!! My sister needs a place to live she has until the 15th and these people drag their feet until the last possible second ... but don't you know if it was them possibly looking at homeless in the face they would more faster !!! Something will be done this week trust me or adult protective services will be called ... you have x amount of time to get it together ... im so sick of things getting pushed under the rug .. You act like your patients are not #1 excuse me that's why you have a job .. Dont bring your loved ones or family here it's a joke .."
