Baker's Shoe Repair & Saddle Shop

"Wow, what a cool shop! Sadly, you don’t find places like this much anymore. The shop is located on Main Street in Erwin, TN. It’s a leather shop, shoe repair, saddle shop, and antique store all rolled up into one. It’s old fashioned in the best ways possible and is a true gem of Americana! I recently visited and struck up a conversation with Tony, the owner. He lives above the shop and has for years. We talked about the shop, leather work, and local happenings. It was an interesting conversation and a great way to spend a bit of an afternoon. I bought a really nice leather belt and my wife got a leather key chain both handmade in the shop. There is something special about buying a quality handmade item from the person who made it. So much nicer than shopping at some big box store or online! There is a lot to see in the shop and I enjoyed browsing around the old sewing machines, tools, saddles, and taxidermy! If you are in the area stop by and have a look for yourself. I’m looking forward to going back on my next visit to Erwin!"

"Baker's is a gem! Finding a cobbler now a days is difficult. They have a beautiful shop and the service was terrific. I brought my boots in for a minor repair, and the owner was so gracious and accommodating, he fixed my boot within 20 minutes so that I didn't have to make a return trip to pick them up. Great people, great work, great service. Highly recommend."
