"Walked right into the ER, and got right in with no wait time. I was there for about two hours, and received phenomenal care. These Nurses go above and beyond for you. I would highly recommend."
"I came one time and the staff was great. I came again and the staff that was working was very rude, short, and had a nasty attitude towards me and my child. Very disappointed."
"Our car had been t-boned with my 6 month old son in the backseat and my 14 year old sister in the front passenger seat. The car had hit my sister's door and side of the car, which resulted in her having a head injury and a possibly fractured elbow. When we arrived at this hospital, my sister had to wait around 4 hours before she recieved any real medical attention from a doctor. Even then, the doctors had done nothing to treat the cuts on her head and bruises. They had given her painkillers and did nothing else, even though she stated she had felt there was glass in her head. I couldn't believe how long it took for her to get examined by anyone, when she had a head injury and the people who had hit us were perfectly fine. Another thing I'd like to mention is how everyone treated all of us like we were just an inconvenience. We knew none of the doctors or nurses names, and everyone treated us like our situation didnt really matter."
"These are the best of the best. I was in stage 3C Ovarian Cancer when I went in there. They did a CT scan and called Wilmington to get me, all within one hour. There's No doubt, they are the reason I am still alive. An ER prior to going to them wouldn't do a test of any kind. The doctor at the other ER said " you don't look like you have The Big C, you're not losing weight or anything." She then asked to see my teeth. Pender gave me fentanyl to keep me comfortable and immediately did a CT scan when I said " this is not my stomach". I'm alive because they did their jobs by the book. I can never thank them enough! 5 stars!!"
"One of the worst experiences in an ER ever. I went to this ER one night, in November, and was asked how my issue was an emergency? The attending physician treated me like I just wanted pain pills. In fact, I only wanted an image of my face so I could understand why it was hurting so much. I never even asked for pain pills.. He literally yelled at me because I couldn't explain what was wrong. I wasn't able to express how I felt and I started crying because he wouldn't listen to me. I ended up running out as he was yelling at me and didn't get any help. Administration called me the next day because I called and complained, at my daughter's suggestion. All they wanted to know was if I wanted to come back? Why would I come back to a provider that treated me like that? All he had to do was talk to me. I would have been able to explain eventually but it takes me a little longer these days to get the words out. It isn't my fault. I never even got the chance to tell him I just wanted an xray or some type of image of my face so I could find out what type of damage was done and figure out how to stop the pain without pills. I don't like taking unnecessary medicine and especially not pain pills. Having a headache in the face is absolutely horrible! I hope no one ever has to go through that. I don't know the doctors name or I would state it. But I pray for people in need that he has been fired or something. This happened in November of 2020. I still have a bill from this emergency room visit even though they did nothing for me. Except not help me. Zero stars if I was able."
