Novant Health New Hanover Primary Care - Autumn Hall

"I came in today because of flu symptoms and did not have a good experience. It was my first time here, so I was hoping to meet with my actual physician. They said I couldn’t. I was sent to wait in my car with little to no explanation as to what was happening. I talked to a virtual doctor for about 1 minute, got swabbed and was told I would get my results in an hour. After calling multiple times and only getting automated machine answers, I go back in at 5:30pm (I got my test done at 9am) and they finally give me my results. For a fever, nausea, and a cough, all I was prescribed was a albuterol pump that I can’t afford and $10 cough suppressant that will do nothing for my fever or the rest of my symptoms. This experience was terrible."

"My husband had a seizure today after taking a second dose of tamiflu. I called to speak to the dr on call but got transferred to a nurse. A nurse did not answer the phone. I had to leave a voice message. The voice mail said someone would return my call by 8 PM. My call was not returned. I see no point in using Novant for medical emergencies in the future. We will use Medac."

"I hate that this place usually gets you in quick. But don’t bother calling them and leaving a message. They won’t call you back in 24 hours, or at all. They close out your case so you can’t message on their portal either. So now I have to show up and pay for an entire new visit. Thankfully money grows on trees."

"This is the place where I find the worst medical clinic in America. i called so many times to get an appointment for my mother and it was always just said you don't need to make an appointment, before i believed and went to see the doctor i waited for over three hours, and this time i called and made an appointment but the staff said you just need to come and don't need to make an appointment but I said that before I came and saw a lot of people had made appointments to be examined, I wanted to make an appointment so I wouldn't have to wait. but when I asked the staff if you can make an appointment and the staff said we don't have an appointment program, and you don't need to wait long to come in. But when you arrive, the staff tells you that you have to wait 3 hours. and I asked the staff if you accept appointments. The staff told us we always accept appointments and give priority. So why don't you accept my appointment? It seems like the staff here discriminate against Asians like me. It's a pity to have to give 1 star, if I could give the lowest I would have done it. This is the worst place I have ever seen. If your supervisor sees this, please contact me so others don't have to face the same situation."

"Place is full of the worst people you've ever met in your life(talking about the staff). went in with chest pains and shortness of breath to be referred to to a cardiologist. After my appointment on a Monday, i was told by Friday the cardiologist would reach out to me. The following Week after hearing nothing I looked back over my referral and noticed they sent it to a cardiologist in Fayetteville…. I tried to call and correct this and was very rudely told that i was wrong and that is just the billing location of said cardiologist. I finally got a call back from that office where they kindly informed me they were in fact located in Fayetteville and it would be better for me to be seen closer to me in wilmington. so again i called autumn hall wilmington health where i was put on hold and told to wait 2 hours for a call back. That was 4 days ago and still nothing. don't go here if you need actual help."
