"Had my first appointment Wilmington mental health last night ended up being late due to a job interview running late ended up having to reschedule and being stranded due to my ride leaving make a long story short it was dark outside my glasses are broke I had no sense of direction and definitely couldn't see the reception is Emily was a lifesaver not knowing me from Adam out of the kindness of her heart order me a uber and pay for it for me to get home so I was safe I am a firm believer of everything happens for a reason and people are put in your presents for a reason I'm a firm believer of that the alternative was not a very safe alternative for me there was another patient in there offered to give me a ride but after seeing the mind frame and State I decided it wasn't safe to go that route miss Emily without question or hesitation make sure that I got home safe and I appreciate that very sweet girl I give her 10 Stars like I said walking in the dark I'm known location without even being able to see correctly was enough room for disaster thank you Emily for looking out for me even though you ain't never seen me a day in your life we need more people like you around also the first guy I encountered not sure of his name maybe James but can't be sure he's very accommodating and outgoing and this place is really about more than just a paycheck I recommend them to anybody coming into a place like this can meet intimidating right off the road and I thank you guys for making my experience a good one and not add to my PTSD L your. A blessing"
"I come on here to see that people are having the same issues I’m having save your self some time don’t go here. There’s a reason they’re good P.A. left. Jacqueline Owen is rude and not understanding at all. Let me also add that she was a hr and a half late and it was online I never received a link and then she calls me from her personal number and we talk and she makes me feel judged because of the meds I take like excuse me. Also we all know the boss of this place has been stealing money also from all the reviews I’ve seen so I mean it looks like y’all will be outta business soon anyways at this rate who even still comes to see you. Do yourself and your family a favor DO NOT COME HERE."
"I got there early for my appointment, sat there for 45 minutes past my appointment time, and she actually had the audacity to act like I was the one taking my time getting ready for my appointment. Not to mention, my boyfriend went to see her and waited almost an hour past his appointment time, and she straight up questioned him like he was a drug abuser. She gave me my medicine no question but since we live together and he's trying to get his own meds to get back on track to a mentally healthy life style, she said he was trying to steal mine!!! Tell me how that makes sense. The man actually made his appointment way before I did at that!!! Jacqueline Owen, the np, was rude, inconsiderate, and just downright unprofessional in the way she handled this. He was in tears trying to get better, but no. He now has to live with the fact that the person he went to, who was supposed to help and support him, told him she saw him as a drug addict and a liar. Take yourselves somewhere else and save yourself the hurt and betrayal."
"‼️Jacqueline Owen‼️ is their new P.A. I recently moved from New York when they still didn't have the expansion for Medicaid when I came down my doctor in New York was nice enough to write me one prescription plus one more which used until running out . From the moment I learned the qualifications to receive nc medicade was different then ny I began researching places I could set an appointment at in the future, it just so happen in that time the expansion took place here in NC. I was extremely positive and felt great that I was going to begin getting "back on track" it was such an initial relief for me! Therapy, meds Structure again in my life! Well I just walked out and never was made felt so uncomfortable before in my life by Jacqueline Owen. She made me feel so uncomfortable to the point where I was almost in tears and told her I need to take my requests somewhere else. In my opinion she is highly unprofessional and I would never recommend coming here for any type of medication services, take you, your family tell your friends please to just save themselves the headache and all in all save yourself some tears from being dropped. Go somewhere else. Trust me. They have a two star rating for a reason!! I will be reporting this and Thankyou for bringing such an unpleasant time Wilmington mental heath into my life around the holiday season. This place does not care about seeing ppl get better, their to worried about themselves."
"I am incredibly disappointed in the billing department of Wilmington Mental Health, Joseph was not helpful at all. Frankly he acted distracted, and unconcerned. I asked him why I had an outstanding balance for $600 on my account. He started talking in circles and wasn’t very insightful as to why. So, it went from $600 to $375 to $225 to $125 for services I have already paid for. I am self pay and I’m fully aware of what I’ve paid, and the number of appointments I’ve had this far. I went back to my portal to check the balance on my account and now instead of $600 it says $225… for psychotherapy (I did not receive) and for becoming a new patient when I’ve been a patient since May 2023. I absolutely loved my psychiatrist, and most of the staff I encountered there. My psychiatrist was wonderful. This place has go to stop over charging, charging cards amounts that are incorrect, and putting massive balances on accounts for services not rendered. It just seemed that Joseph was speaking very quickly and talking about insurance and things that didn’t even pertain to me and my situation. Almost like he was thinking, “she won’t understand me anyways so I’ll just ramble.” I do intend to go back, but only to speak Joseph one more time about this outstanding balance. I most certainly will no longer be a patient at this facility any longer, period. I suggest you do your research before considering Wilmington Mental Health as a viable option for treatment. I would apologize for text tone but I am very, very concerned about my situation."
