Reviews of Middle Prong Trail Trailhead
"The trail was long but steady. It is continuously up however it’s pretty long so you don’t feel it. The waterfalls are pretty cool at the end. In the wintertime, the last 3 miles of the road to the trailhead are closed but on our way back the road had been opened so if you wait, you might not have to walk the 3 miles down the road. This is in January."
"Rocky trail but easy over all. Parking may be difficult in peak season but the road is well maintained. Hike out a mile or 4!"
"This trail is perfect for beginner hikers or anyone who loves hiking next to streams. Be careful with toddlers and energetic children because the trail is high above the rushing water in places. The gravel road was maintained neatly and there was plenty of parking when I arrived early at 7:30. By noon when we were leaving there were still a few places to park. I highly recommend this trail for people visiting from out of town who want to experience the GSMNP."
"This is a beautiful easy trail that is doable for all ages. The trail is very wide but pretty rocky in areas. There are multiple waterfalls along the way and an old school Cadillac if you go up far enough. There are also some old homes just off the path as well. If you're not much of a hiker I wouldn't reccomend going past the first big waterfall as there is not much more to see worth the longer walk."
