"If you get an emergency referral after being hospitalized for 5 days at McLeod Seacoast, you will still have to wait two months. Dr. Shea, hospitalists at McLeod Seacoast gave my wife an emergency referral after she spent 5 days in hospital with complications related to fibroids. We mistakenly thought this would get us an appointment faster than we could get on our own. It did not help us. Good luck to those that are hoping to get help."
"I wish I would’ve listened to the bad reviews and stayed away. I saw dr Schindler a year ago for the first time because she was easy to get in with compared to other drs (I know why now) and I was already behind on my annual. I went for my second visit with her. Prior to seeing her I let front desk know I would not be doing a Pap smear at this visit since my insurance is changing. They said that was fine. They called and moved my appt to the loris location which is much further from my house (major inconvenience, but I work in healthcare so I was understanding). I arrived at the office and the $100 copay was collected. I got to the back and sat in a room. Dr Schindler came in for maybe all of one minute. She said since I was not doing a Pap smear I could just come back when my insurance updated to do everything and told me I could’ve just used the my chart app to get refills instead of driving all of the way to the office. I sure would’ve liked to know that prior to driving there too. She did not do any type of exam, she did not ask me about my medical history or things we discussed at my initial visit with her. She dismissed me and rescheduled me. At checkout I asked for a refund since nothing was done and they said they could not give me a refund until charges went to billing. I called the billing department and they told me this was not true, no insurance was filed so they could have given me a refund. I waited two weeks for the manager to call me in regards to a refund. When I finally got in touch with her they told me they could refund me $10 but the one minute I had with the dr telling me she could submit refills and reschedule my appointment would cost $90. This should have been a no charge office visit considering I was not even brought to a treatment room. This entire situation was created by a lack of communication within the office. Beware of this office. Poor Bedside manner, and all about the dollar not the patient."
"If I could give it zero stars I would. They have canceled appointments repeatedly....they just canceled my daughter's appointment as she is sitting in the waiting room for 50min waiting to be seen. This was the 4th time they rescheduled that appt. What a disgrace. I will be finding another doctor for myself and my daughters. McLeod really needs to step up because this looks very bad on them."
"I always wait an hour or more past my appointment time. Doctors can't get out of the room fast enough. Rude office staff and nurses. They often gossip about patients in front of others."
"Decided to try this obgyn out so I didn’t have to travel so far to my other one in musc that delivered my daughter, but dont go here if you are high risk & have health conditions in your pregnancy like high blood pressure or preclampsia, they won’t prioritize your health and will prescribe medication they aren’t supposed to when doing so in late pregnancy can hurt the baby causing blood sugar issues because they don’t want to do their job & induce woman instead of putting their lives at risk. Switched back to my high risk doctor in Charleston musc and am being induced with them and finally have proper care."
