UNC Health Urgent Care at Pembroke

"My grandson was sick and my daughter took him to this facility. They opened up after lunch at two. It was 215 before anybody acknowledged her sitting in the waiting area. When they did, they told her she had to make an appointment. Now this is an urgent care mind you. Urgent cares from what I understand are supposed to take walk-ins. When she asked to speak to the manager, and for the corporate office number, she was conveniently given an appointment later that day. It shouldn’t take someone threatening to go over your head for you to do what you should already be doing."

"Waited 3 hours to try to be seen, meanwhile, watched several patients be seen that signed in after me. I was told to wait in the car because I had Covid symptoms. It’s super hot outside but they forgot about me and passed by name on the sign in sheet. I was so disappointed. Unprofessional!! I left and drove to another urgent care in lumberton and they still had not called me."

"Went into the urgent care and therefore 3 people waiting in the lobby and was told they were full and stated that they owed at 5pm. The website clearly states they close at 8pm. I'd the hours have changed then the website needs to be updated so people are not driving to the clinic and getting turned away."

"I came in for a COVID Screening on the weekend. First the receptionist skipped over me for whatever reason. Then they told me I took a rapid tests and told me my results. When I can back in the office I asked the other receptionist for a copy of my results to show to the lab, they said they cannot provide me a copy of my test because they also sent out a pcr test to the hospital and still haven’t received the results yet and I was still on quarantine.No one at the nurse told me this at the time that I took the test. I feel that this urgent care office does good work but they just need to do better with communicating with clients."

"I take my wife to urgent care here in my hometown in between her regular appointment with her primary doctor. Only when the pain is unbearable for her to take with her regularly prescribed medications. She has degenerative disk disease. Along with two rods and six screws from a hi fusion surgery. A sciatic nerve pain and arthritis in the neck. She has been denied disability payments three times cause of her age and education. But the staff especially the nurses treat her as if she is an addict off the streets coming in trying to scam the doctor into writing her a script. I am so sick of the whole system and situation we are in. I miss work I pay so much out of pocket for her to be able to have and experience some relief. In short pray for us and these guys at this urgent care are so non compassionate. Give them 1 Star overall."
