"Quick and easy scheduling. Embarrassing thing happened, one of my cards declined for some reason, but the girl up front did not make a big a deal about it and told me to come pay when I was feeling better. The MA and the PA were great to talk to. Great experience and thank you for the kindness."
"I came in for care and from the begining I was treated with respect. Front desk was fast and friendly. Nursing staff was funny and caring. The PA Jamie did a great job!!"
"On Saturday 12/2/2023, although I was in great physical shape, I experienced a loss of my voice. Since I had to go to work, and my family doctor office wasn't open, I went to the FastMed in Aberdeen, NC. I have been at this office in the past, and I received diligent care. On 12/2/2023 when I arrived the waiting room was empty. I thought that I would receive great care. After completing the admission preliminary, the nurse called me, but not by my name. He addressed me "OKAY SWEETY PIE YOU ARE NEXT". I was surprised by the way he called me, but I followed him. He asked me the protocol questions. He,then, proceeded to check my ears, ( I had wax in my ears, so he couldn't see if there was any infection. A few days later, at a First Health office, the doctor had the nurse to apply a procedure to clear the wax from my ears and then the doctor checked my ears clear of wax to see if there was an infection), he, then, took a swab of my throat to test for strep. He never introduce himself, so I asked him if he was the nurse. He confirmed it. Soon after he left the room. A few minutes later the physician assistant entered the room, she omitted to introduce herself, but she told me: "STREP IS NEGATIVE AND YOU HAVE A VIRUS. I AM PRESCRIBING YOU STEROIDS, YOU ARE FREE TO GO NOW". Then, she exited the room. I left the office, but 10 minutes later I returned. I wanted to know what type of virus I was carrying. The waiting room was still empty when I entered the building. She gave me a moment of her time, and she told me that I had RHINOVIRUS. I am appalled about her wrong diagnosis, I had no runny nose, no cough, I was not sneezing, I had no watery eyes, no headaches, and no body aches. I just had no voice. I am displeased, revolted, scandalized, furious. I was treated ungraciously, not the nurse nor the physician assistant had professionally introduced themselves to me, I was not given the correct diagnosis, and I was charged an outrageous copay of $50.00. What a rip-off, what a fraud! I will not come back. They ought to refund me. In case of need, I will go to First Health Convenience care were the service toward me has been excellent."
"I wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars. I had a broken hand and they laughed in my face when the X-rays came back while I was crying and they didn’t do anything for me so I had to go to the hospital just to get my hand splinted and get the correct medicine so I wasn’t in excruciating pain. The ER staff said never go to this FastMed or you’re gonna lose out on all your money like I did. The ER was the best option for me because they even sent me to the surgical center so they could cast my hand since I had a severe break. I really want an apology from them or some sort of money back because in these times I can’t afford to lose out on $200 just for them to laugh in my face."
"The physical assistant was great, but whoever was in charge of taking my vitals and in processing me was less than stellar. She was really cold and did not seem to want to be there. She made up some of my vitals on my paperwork, which I realized after I received my after visit summary. I understand how demanding and exhausting it must be working in the medical field, but I believe this type of behavior is unprofessional. If you don’t want to be there, don’t be."
