Reviews of King's Kids
"My daughter has excelled in all areas since starting pre-school at kings kids. The staff are so nurturing and caring, they focus on each kid individually and cater to each child’s educational needs. I am more than happy i enrolled my child here. The facility is always clean and in tip top shape as well. Thank you Kings Kids!"
"I completely agree with the negative reviews below. I don't understand how this is labelled as a Christian child care center. Just because there are Bible verses on the wall does not male this a Christian atmosphere. My son was treated horribly here and I heard how the staff talked to other children as well. Yelling, mean, rude, telling them to hush up and be quiet. Children respond to how you treat them. If they are in a positive environment they are more likely to do well but if they are in a negative environment then they are not as likely to do well. My son used to cry about having to go here for after school care. He went every day from 3-5 pm and was miserable. Shortly after starting I was told by the director that during teacher workdays he was not allowed to stay past 3 pm because he became too hyper at that time...even though he was normally there from 3-5 pm each day. I work full time so that was not something I could do. I then had to pay somewhere else to keep him on teacher workdays in addition to my parent fee there. Of course there was no reimbursement given. Needless to say we only stayed a few months before we found another center where he went after school and teacher workdays with no problems!!! To this day every single time we ride past Kings Kids my son says something to the effect that the teachers there are mean, he is glad he doesn't have to go there anymore, etc. And he has not been since February yet he still talks about this which makes me sad he was there as long as he was, because things must have been worse than I realized for him to still be talking about it. There is no structure in the after school program, the children are back and forth between two buildings. They are both very run down and not maintained. During our short (6 month or less) duration there the following instances occurred: Plumbing was completely not working in one building for a week. The building next door was vandalized and when I went to drop my son off there was broken glass everywhere. Parents were given a one day notice that all four year old children would be driver to the Garner location for school"" each day and back because they felt that location could provide a better educational experience. My son was accused of purposely breaking a play kitchen and I was told the director would be reviewing the tape. The kitchen was at least ten-fifteen years old (raggedy). I was later told the tape was reviewed and he did not break it on purpose. There was no apology issued. Numerous times I heard the woman in charge of the after school program yelling at the kids in a hateful tone telling them sit down be quiet I'm sick of you, I've had enough of you, etc. As the poster below stated sometimes we put our children places for convenience. I would not recommend this as it is unlikely your child(ren) will receive quality care or be treated well. This should not be marketed as a Christian child care center in my opinion."
"My experience with King's kings kids has being excellent. I being working with King's Kids almost 4 years and I have learned so much from working with Mrs. Deanna Randle. She is and excellent director and she believes in educate our children to be the best they can be. Mr & Mrs. Randle both work very hard every day to improve and make King's Kids the best. I'm very happy being a part of a great daycare. The parents that I talk to on daily basis is very pleased with on how much that their child is learning and it really make us happy hearing a great reports like that. The parents always tell me how much they appreciate everything that we do and it's great to hear comments like that coming from great parents."
"RESTORED MY FAITH IN DAYCARES...My children have been under Mrs. Nikki and King's Kids care for the past 4 years. I can honestly say she has restored my faith in how a first-class daycare should operate. I abruptly removed my children from a low-class daycare, located in Garner NC, due to the fact that they allow teachers to put their hands on people's children. I called Mrs. Nikki the same day my children were removed and she met me at her Vandora Springs center that evening. During this meeting, never ONCE did she discuss or mention how much I needed to pay her for my children to start there. Her only concern was me getting my children out of a negative situation...and FAST! My children started that following Monday and I was blown away with the curriculum they have in-place, compared to other local daycares. They do not just sit around and babysit your children, they inspire your children! My 5 year old (at the time) was getting ready to go to kindergarten and this was the first year Mrs. Nikki implemented Kindergarten Bootcamp. I was thoroughly impressed with all my son had learned during the short time he had been enrolled. On the first week of kindergarten, his teacher called me on my cell, at work, just to tell me how smart he was and that he knew things half of her class didn't know. Thanks to the Boot Camp, my son was overly prepared when he entered Kindergarten and he's been making 3's & 4's ever since. Mrs. Nikki is straight-by-the-books when it comes to the operation of her centers and she will not deter from that. The policies and procedures laid out in her parent handbook will be followed and adhered to. That goes for herself, the staff, the parents and on down to the children enrolled. This is how she ensures her centers operate on a 5-star scale. I used to get the calls to come and pick my child up, too! What I quickly learned to appreciate is that I would rather someone call me to come and pick my child up than have a teacher to put their hands on my child instead. She and her staff worked diligently with my child to help him to understand that no one there was going to hurt/touch him. Once he learned the teachers were truly only there to nurture and help him learn, I never recv'd another call to come and pick him up again. The turn over at King's Kids is no worser than any other daycare in the area. I know for a fact that Mrs. Nikki will not keep anyone in either of her centers that she feels isn't a good fit. Sometimes it takes letting a lot of people go in order to find that perfect fit. Any issues/concerns I have ever brought before her have been handled with the utmost professionalism, respect and decency."
"My daughter has been with Mrs. Nikki the director or KKEELC for seven years, since she was six weeks old. Over the years she has become like family. She takes pride in teaching the children above and beyond the basic requirements for school using books and hands on methods. She taught my daughter to sign before she could speak. She took the children on field trips to obtain hands on learning experiences. The annual fee may seem high but I have never had to bring diapers, wipes, food, craft supplies, ect. I believe it is well worth what the children receive especially after volunteering in the kitchen and seeing the meals she prepares for the children. I have watched her business grow to the point that it was no longer able to be contained in her home. She knew starting this new venture her most difficult challenge would be finding staff that have the same drive and passion she possesses for teaching and growing children. She was right. I will say even through this I have watched her handle it with grace and professionalism. She always puts the children's safety first. When staff leaves it is usually because they are pursuing higher education or they refuse to maintain the standards she has set for her company. I have watched the company grow from an in home daycare to a two facility business that now includes a Kindergarten boot camp that prepares pre-K for kindergarten. I know she will persevere and her vision for the children will continue to grow."
