Reviews of Love Without Walls Mental Health Center
"Linda is amazing! Such a friendly, patient, and professional office and staff."
"All I can say is that this place has been absolutely amazing! This is the first and only place that my fiancé, who struggles with many mental health issues as well as drug addiction, has said that he felt like they cared and understood him. I’ve started seeing them as well and have definitely had the same experience. I don’t have the mental health issues or addiction but being a non-addict going through the issues created by and fighting to help an addict beat theirs creates a need for its own kind of therapy and they have definitely been able to meet that needs as well. I’m so very grateful for the blessing God has provided in them."
"The entire staff here is incompetent and does not care about the patients well being at all. It took me two months of going round and round with this office to finally get the medication I needed because their E-scribe system wasnt up and running yet and every time I asked about it I was always told "It will be this week sometime". I received this answer repeatedly for two months, which prompted me to put up my first review of this place stating how they had completely wasted my time. They asked me to take the initial review down so they could fix the issue, they were able to get me one month of my medication. I called the office a week before my meds ran out asking about my next appointment and they refuse to schedule me to see the nurse practitioner. They are well aware that I have been out of meds for two weeks now and won't return my calls. The counselor here is very disrespectful and trys to play mind games during the "therapy session". After she made me feel extremely uncomfortable in one of my therapy sessions and I didn't want to answer any more of her questions she told my father I had the maturity of an 18 year old, I just refuse to let anyone talk to me in that manner. She ended our last counseling session with "just so we dont waste everyone's time here today fill this paper out for next week" and hands me a worksheet on coping skills. I still can't believe this woman is allowed to counsel people with mental health issues. This place is extremely unprofessional and just wants your money. Hopefully this review saves someone from having to go through the mess I have over the last few months dealing with these people."
"I was referred to Love Without Walls by my doctor, on the basis that they supposedly get patients in within a week and quick access to help is what I really needed. It's been weeks now and my appointment has been rescheduled 4 or 5 times now, I'm starting to lose track of how many times. The first time, the date and time were changed without any sort of call to me to ask if I was even available those times, and had to call and ask that I at least receive more direct communication than an email that I happened to see buried in my spam folder. That is one thing they've stuck to though, I'll have an appointment scheduled, and it's become like clockwork to get a call from them the afternoon before to have it pushed back to the week after that, to the week after that....and I just can't take it anymore. Last time I was on the phone with them and noticeably distressed, whoever I was talking to started to act huffy and curt with me and it only made me feel worse. Maybe, if a huge part of your job involves interacting with people with various mental health issues, you should be better trained to deal with distressed individuals who aren't even being rude to you in the first place, just stressed and choking back tears and thus having a hard time speaking to you. Since the start of this whole ordeal, I've had a nervous breakdown and had to go to a CSU for a few days, and I can't help feeling that if I hadn't been getting the run around for weeks on end and having that add to my stress and depression, I may not have ended up in such a bad state. I've given up on Love Without Walls and looking elsewhere for someone who can make the time for me before my mental health deteriorates further. Save yourself the heartache and stress and go elsewhere. ****Response**** I did not say I was ONLY communicated with through email, but that the first *NOT new patient paperwork * email I received was not accompanied with a call informing me of the changed appointment time, that time and date were decided for me for some reason and I didn't appreciate that as I am only available on certain days and cannot afford to take off from work at a moment's notice. As I stated, after calling to change that and ask that an attempt be made at directly contacting me to ASK if I was even available on a day and time just being picked out for me, that they at least could be counted upon moving forward to call and reschedule my appointments every single week. However, I have a handful of emails sitting in my inbox that state otherwise that they don't send emails except for new patient paperwork."
"As a case manager who typically deals with hard to place patients that have need for mental health services and suffer housing insecurity, Love without Walls leadership has been very gracious to assess patients quickly and accept these patients for placement into secure housing. Post assessment, they are able to provide individualized counseling services designed to promote re-entry to independent living or plans to remain on service or transition to lower level care settings as appropriate. So grateful to have this placement option for those in need."
