Reviews of Accordius Health at Brevard
"This place has made a HUGE change since my last experience with them. Great leadership and excellent patient care. The staff was caring, went out of their way, and did a superb job. Beyond grateful for their assistance."
"Staff are attentive to residents needs, efficient in their work and courteous with both residents and visitors. The building is very clean and lovely renovations are almost complete. In some communities leadership staff are not often “in the trenches” - this is not the case at Accordius of Brevard. It is not unusual to see the Leadership working alongside their staff on the floor - they don’t just “talk the talk” instead, they “Walk the walk” ... a rarity these days in healthcare."
"6/28/19 - 7/12/19. I had a serious injury that required short term skilled nursing care after surgery and a hospital stay. From my understanding, this facility, once known as The Brian Center, recently came under new family-based ownership, affiliated with Accordius and is now known as Accordius-Brevard. What has impressed me is the caring RESPONSIVE attitude that carries from top to bottom. Smiles and eye contact abound. Frank discussions about how to best meet my needs were taken seriously and acted upon. I arrived and leave with the wound care vac I’d preferred because of their direct intervention and willingness to accept the higher charges that entailed. The facility is being renovated in phases, with a planned upgrade to the Lobby and a ward/floor ultimately dedicated to rehab. My room was kept clean. My dietary needs were accommodated well. OT and PT were available daily. I was not resident long enough to take advantage of their planned activities, but it looked like a full range had been planned if you’re interested. I may need a graft in the near future — Accordius-Brevard will be my choice for my initial recovery. Kudos, Accordius-Brevard!!"
"Such a caring place for your loved ones that you can’t care for at home. After being sold in May 2014, the new owners direction and dedication to making resident care a first priority always is so noticed. Any reviews from the past are under the old company and you and your loved ones deserve the best and that is what this companybis striving for. If you had other opinions in the past. You owe it to yourself, your family and the community to take a second look."
"This facility is way below standards and they treat their patients less than human. I rescued my mother from there where she was strapped in a onesie, had no socks on bottom of her feet were disgustingly dirty, she was over medicated in a zombie like state. When I took her home, she immediately had to go to the hospital because she was pneumonia, and a blood infection, all which none of the doctors there or rude staff failed to mention. Her vitals were very low. Then they tried to keep her SS payment for a month that she wasn’t even under their care. I called and made complaints all to no avail because they are government funded. Please for the love of God, and humanity- DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. Especially if they have mental issues. In the last 5 years this has been my biggest regret, agreeing to send her here. When she was first checked in, my mother could walk, upon my visit there- not even a week into her stay she was shuffling... when I took her home after she left the hospital, she can no longer walk. She was better off before she went here. It was a rapid decline. There is literally stool and blood on the wall and hallway downstairs. The residents can roam room to room unsupervised. It’s a horrible place. Seriously. Please go lol for yourself. Love +Light."
