Reviews of Banfield Pet Hospital
"Grossly misquoted us for a procedure. Doubled what they had said. Terrible customer service. I’d rather spend the same amount of money to have better care for my dog."
"I have tried to schedule my dog's comprehensive exam for 3 weeks. Everytime I've called, the voice message states " they are closed". I've left three messages to schedule my dog. I pay a monthly fee for this service. What is going on with Banfield vet in Arden?"
"If I could leave less than one star I would. They have 0 bedside manners for the animals and are to busy rushing to treat the animal properly. The treated my dog so terrible that he is traumatized from the vet, and they blamed his behavior on him be aggressive when they simply refused to treat him with any respect. If they had said hello and been friendly it would have been more productive than simply shoving medication down his throat. I will never bring my dog back."
"I’ve spent thousands of dollars and have purchased multiple wellness plans over a 7-year period. I’m not sure exactly when the level of care changed but I noticed a difference in 2020 and blamed it on Covid. I regret ever continuing to go to this location after Dr. Burgee and Dr. Reynolds left and agree with the person that stated, “go anywhere else”. I was under the impression that the wellness plan was saving me money and it definitely wasn’t. I have been getting our dog’s teeth cleaned for 6-7 years at Banfield and to see what our dog’s teeth look like after getting them cleaned at another vet is astonishing. The last time I got our dog’s teeth cleaned at this Banfield almost exactly a year ago the head vet at the time (different head vets, vets, and staff every 6-8 months) told me that my dog’s teeth were so bad he would require an additional cleaning a year. I remember looking at his teeth after being “cleaned” at this location last year and they were still yellowish/brown. The reason I continued to get the Wellness plan for him was due to the costs associated with yearly teeth cleanings yet right after getting his teeth cleaned, I was recommended to get a second cleaning? He recently had his teeth cleaned at a different vet’s office and his teeth look the whitest they have ever looked and his breathe doesn’t smell bad. Just look on the board regarding the number of pets being seen in one day and how they continue to get people signed up for wellness plans even though you can’t even book an appointment when your pet is actually sick. If they are able to “work” your sick pet in then be prepared to leave your sick pet there for 5-8 hours. Think about the amount of turnover at this location and make sure if you do take your pets to this location that you save ALL of their records including ALL tests results. Remember that Banfield is a corporation and remember what the bottom line of a corporation is and does that align with the care that you want for your pets? I only went to other Banfield locations before going to this Banfield so had nothing to compare the level of care that your pets should receive at a vet’s office. Once I got out of this system, I felt guilty for ever being involved in Banfield at all."
"I will never bring my dog back to this place. I don’t remember the vet that saw us. But she thought my dog was too skinny and came at me and my wife like we were abusing him with this accusatory tone. This photo was taken right after the appointment. I love my dog and think he looks great! And we take good care of him and he gets a lot of exercise. So her tone was bull. And if she thought he needed some extra weight she could have said so like a normal person. Not act as if the dog is being neglected. As you can see he is healthy and definitely not malnourished."
