Reviews of Meridian Behavioral Health - Macon County
"All of the staff is very organized, most friendly and makes my time at the facility tolerable. They also answer all my questions in a timely manner."
"Have never had a doctor more caring and thorough as Dr. Fincher. Staff is equally good."
"I like who I have through them now, but for those who can't reach them, they do that to everyone! Even the supervisor doesn't contact you back. They did reach out to a family member of mine and told her there not accepting new patients at this time. There very low on staff since blue ridge took over. And they sent her to another one I think in sylva and that was is booked too. If you need immediate care they tell you to go to hospital and see a psych. Which you will be put through tons of questions, thoroughly checked and undressed for some reason and evaluated. But in the end you'll end up with the treatment you need were there words. I know that doesn't help but it's how this place is. If you are thinking any suicideal thoughts they make you call a help line instead. Not the best place but I got in before the change happened but you'd think that made me the lucky one lol no because I don't have insurance so the program charges you instead of giving you the paperwork to fill out for those who can't afford. Going elsewhere is better trust me. But I'm not speaking of melody there she's sweet and helpful and Lori I think she's awesome but the staff in front there no help at all. For those who get replied back to on these reviews and they say we have reached you through email and text and calls many times, they do not do this! And the appropriate person they say that will hear about this is the person I said called her back and told her they were full... So they can say they help and care but for many people in this town we all feel like we have no real help at all. It's the worst place to live with mental illness"
"Christina L. Wentz who is the Communications Generalist. Will completely ignore you after many emails reaching out. Ever since Blue Ridge took over this has been the WORST experience. I’ve been with them for five years and love my doctor Lori Green but the billing and the rest of the staff are an absolute train wreck. Do not waste your time here. I’ve been reaching out for months now. I keep being billed but I was told my insurance would cover my appointments like its been for years. This includes an appointment from 1/24/23 for my normal refill. Also an appointment for 2/20/23 that was supposed to be a follow up for labs that were never scheduled and I was never notified. But I'm somehow being charged $87.96 for a 30 second call which we were both confused why we were even having the first place."
"My mother lives in Franklin and this is the only option for mental health in their tiny town. I have left messages daily for 5 days with NO RESPONSE. I have no choice to work with this facility but as I do not live locally, it is EXTREMELY frustrating that I can never seem to reach a person to speak with. It’s has been over 3 weeks since she’s had an appointment and they need to figure out a better way to let people connect to the office rather than just leave a message when it comes to mental health needs."
