"I am sad to be writing this, but I am frustrated with the experience I had with this office. The place felt clean, and I was treated cordially in person, so I really had no issue there. I had an appt so the wait was average/minimal. I had a fairly brief, but most likely average encounter with Kay Hayes. She listened to my issues and agreed that I needed a blood panel done, and let me know that she would call me the next morning with the results. This was on a Wednesday. The next morning came and went, with my anxiously awaiting a phone call. At the end of the day, I called to see if there was an update, and left a voicemail on her assistant's phone. Unfortunately, there was no response the next day. I tried Friday afternoon, calling the front desk so that I could get ahold of someone, and was told that Kay Hayes and her assistant had just left. This left me to wait until Monday to hopefully get a call. I did get a call on Monday around 11am, but wasn't able to answer or return the phone call until about 30 minutes later. I left a voicemail that I would have my phone on me the rest of the day. I did not receive a call back that day, nor Tuesday. Wednesday afternoon I called, left a VM on the assistant's phone, and called to talk to the front desk. The lady at the front desk was kind and understanding, and said she would leave a note on one of their desks. On Friday, after no one reaching out to me, I called again and the front desk lady immediately put me in touch with the assistant. She said she has received my voicemails/messages to call her back. I asked her if she could give me the results, but she replied that she's not allowed to...which I completely understand. At that point, I was just extremely desperate to know my test results. The assistant also said she would let Kay Hayes know that I called. Ironically, I checked my mail that day and found a bill for almost $200 from this office, not including the $30 I paid the day-of. No one reached out to me on Monday, so I believe I called one more time on Tuesday. The women I spoke with at the front desk, was extremely kind and empathetic, which meant a lot to me...I felt so helpless at that point. She put me in touch with a practice manager, who thanked me for letting her know about this situation, and said she would handle it. Finally, two days later, which was two weeks after I was told I would hear from her. I received a call from Kay Hayes. The call lasted about 30 seconds, and she told me the results. No solution was offered given that the results didn't necessarily answer the questions/issues I've been having, and no apology was offered for the lack of professionality. I felt demeaned and forgotten, all the while carrying the mental/emotional load of worrying about my test results and what that would mean for my life. Especially after receiving the bill. Even if the test results were delayed, I only needed a call back so someone could tell me. I've never written a negative review, and I took a few weeks to consider the pros and cons of posting this. Overall, I feel that it is quite a feat for people to receive caring and professional medical treatment in small towns, and I want to spare these people from making the same mistake I did of choosing this office to receive medical advice/care. Or perhaps, maybe communication, promptness, and professionality could be improved so that the office is a well-oiled machine, and will be able to truly serve the community."
